As I was so disappointed with my original score in footgolf, I wanted, nah, needed to improve on my score. So I went to Highfield Golf Club & Footgolf Kildare, Carbury, Co. Kildare, Ireland, when I was home for a short break. Went with the brother on another wet and windy day, for my second try out, and his first, at Footgolf. And as I expected I dropped about 10 on my score. It was also amusing to see my brother go through the same difficulties that a first time player goes through……skewing it wide, wondering why your football skills have deserted you, and over hitting on the putting green. Although not as amazing as the course I was in at Geneva, the Highfield course had its own unique difficulties. It had a lot of long greens, and a few more dangerous water hazards. I tried out a few different kinds of kicks, and on the putting green I tried to under hit it as much as I could. It worked as I got a much better score of 85, plus 15 to par, and for the last 5 I hit par in all of them holes, a great improvement. Really happy to see some sort of progress, while the brother was fuming with a score of 96, plus 26, and he the footballer in the family having played semi professional! Will be back to Highfield, now that I got the FootGolf bug, can’t wait! Great Place. Well looked after by staff. Especially the owner Allan Duggan. Top Man We had birthday party here doing Footgolf for our son and his friends. We loved everything about this place - food (pizza was really tasty) activities, customer service and even their dog Theo, who was running around entertaining kids. Definitely will come back again! Can't rate this place enough. Found it by chance when looking at Google maps and went out for a round in the morning with my Dad. Got a deal on GolfNow for €18 for 18 holes of golf - amazing value. From the moment we arrived we were blown away - the wooden cabin clubhouse, the staff and of course the dog all made us feel super welcomed and like we had made the right choice. The course itself is in a stunning location, the greens are relatively smooth and there's a lot of interesting holes. For the price you pay, the value for money is outstanding. We will be back and will be telling everyone about this place! Such a great idea, went with my son, my nephew and a group of his friends and their parents, such a laugh, brand new experience for all. We would have loved to have stayed for pizza but it wasn't opened that day, maybe we were too early or because it was a Wednesday I'm not sure. Staff at check in desk was lovely to deal with, thanks a million I brought my son and his friends here for his birthday yesterday to play footgolf and they really enjoyed it. Pizzas after were amazing. Staff were very nice. A real gem. Thanks to all! Had a great time doing Footgolf for my sons 11th birthday, staff are lovely and food was delicious, overall great experience. Absolute gem of a club. One criticism would be better signage. It's says 5th on eleventh hole. Staff were very helpful and friendly and food was great.
