No queue. Fast crossing. 6€ per car. No control anymore, just ticket booths. Update: a month later there was control on entry to Romania. Crossing on foot possible without any fee. They'll only check your documents on both sides. Not a bad experience at all once we figured out to go through town to avoid the long line of waiting. 12 lev or 6 euro toll for crossing the bridge. The main problem about this bridge is that the most people who are crossing the are actually importing/exporting something to/from Bulgaria: car and car parts, various goods etc. They are the main reason for long waits and queues since all their stuff have to be thoroughly checked. On the other hand, it took me no more than a couple of minutes to cross both sides. Officers were ok. It's ridiculous to have to pay a toll since the has been open due to Schengen. Das Kassieren für die Brückenmarkt erfolgt auf rumänischer Seite,12 Lewa für PKW No waiting time for crossing the bridge by car. But the road to Sofia is hell... Nice, after the bridge the first window for Bulgarian police whom checked our passport and made general check. After that we passed second window we paid the bridge fee which was 6.68 Euro. Everything was ok and smooth 🇧🇬🇷🇴 We drove over it on the first day Romania entered Schengen, and it looks really beautiful! (and sturdy) It's traveled by thousand monthly, so its importance for the area can not be underestimated. It strengthened the bond between Romania and Bulgaria. Truck drivers sleep in one lane, and use another one to drive, if you’re traveling with your car expect to get stuck between the and wait for hours here!!! Bulgarian side needs to organize and resolve this, it’s ridiculous!!! Tolles Erlebnis. Ärgerlich: wenn man von BG nach RO fährt, ist auf der Rumänischen Seite die Fahrbahn absolut kaputt. Hallo! Man bezahlt Maut, also bitte die Fahrbahn sanieren. Videomaut wäre auch mal was! Angenehme und schnelle Grenzabfertigung. Immer Problemlos! Very fast way to travel to Bulgaria/Greece. Nice view, well maintained..🥰😊🙈 I just crossed yesterday this point, expecting for the worst after reading the reviews on Google. It was one of the easiest and faster cross ever. The last 10km of road before the Romanian (coming from Craiova to Calafat) it's just a giant que. But if you are with a small car <3,5t, even with a loaded pickup like mine, you can overpass all the and go directly to the office. Yes, there is some upcoming traffic and from time to time you must hide back on your lane between the trucks, but you will find enough gaps between them to be safe. On the Romanian office they throw a look on my ID and this was it. Bulgarian checkpoint was missing. Took me under 1 minute to cross this at 7:30 in the morning, with a full loaded pickup and totally covered. So with a person car it must be a pice of cake to pass this point. After 15 years of crossing the Ro-Bg from Giurgiu to Russe, I am so happy to discover this point. P.s. if you are a very fearful driver probably you will find it strange to overpass 10km of with upfront traffic coming from time to time.
