The idea was good to restore this place but unfortunately quickly fell into disrepair. Hopefully some day it will be restored yet again and maintained. There are some nice historic buildings and some new artwork around. Not too much to visit. The road to the public beach further along is damaged by 'high sea' of the Danube. A campground would be nice here It is a must one time only must say, relaxing, okay food, great staff, lots of parking. Amazing food. The aubragines salad was gorgeous. And also the goose meat in cabbage leaves... They also made bread but I could not eat it because I am coeliac. My friends loved it. The location is beautiful and the staff very helpful. A lovely traditional place. The decor is a mixture of modern facilities with traditional decorations. The food is traditional, fresh and tasty. The views are great. It is a great experience of Romanian hospitality and traditions. When you choose to visit this place, take into consideration that you will have no TV, poor quality Internet connection, that there are lots of cats and dogs around the place. They are well behaved and nice to play with. Beautiful place on the romanian Danube River side. Good traditional food and drinks, peacefull athmosphere, the perfect place for a few days meditation. Great sunsets and a good place to swimm. The beach gets crowded during weekends but there is enough space on this property to give all some intimacy. A wonderful place and good food. Inside the house is basically an antique museum with lots of objects. A quiet and As a true animal lover, I found this place to be my piece of heaven. Nature and tranquility right on the Danube shore, with friendly staff and friendly dogs and cats roaming around and making everything even more beautiful with their presence. If they feel that you love them, dogs will accompany you everywhere, happy and playful because they are fed and loved and taken care of by the staff, so they are not famished or pushy or asking for food. Of course, they will not refuse a piece of nice cheese or meat or any other treat you might offer. But speaking of food, it is deliciously true Romanian traditional food, accompanied by the best natural juices and wines. A truly great place, it recharged me with optimism and sheer simple happiness. So I highly recommend this place to animal lovers, who should visit and maybe even take home one of the amazing dogs and cats, if you fall in love with any of them. They are so friendly and welcome. I would have taken home at least 3 doggies and 2 kittens ❤ but it was a motorcycle trip for us. I will come back for sure though 😊.
