The host was very welcoming and friendly, which we appreciated. We were the only guests in what turned out to be a rather basic place, both in terms of cleanliness and facilities. In retrospect, we may have learned why it wasn’t very busy. The food was okay—nothing special—but definitely overpriced. Beers were not but Danish, and at €2.50 for 0.33L just barely acceptable. Amusingly, the rakija was fairly priced. After two weeks of traveling around the country, this was by far the most expensive dinner we had, considering what we got. Unfortunately, we didn’t take a photo of the food. It was fine, but certainly not worth €40. The owner referred to “dessert” being included, which she also mentioned in her response to feedback. Don’t be fooled—it was nothing more than generic, supermarket-style sweets (think Tesco Celebrations). Not exactly a memorable finish. Despite having a good laugh during the visit, we left feeling somewhat cheated—definitely not a nice feeling and unfortunately not a place we can recommend. Just four minutes down the road, you’ll find 2–3 much better options offering locally sourced food, beers, great service, and fair prices. We ended up going to Eco Village Nevidio the next day and were able to redeem the bad experience from the night before. Definitely check out the reviews for Eco Village Nevidio—it’s worth the detour. Update after your answer: Thank you for your response, which sadly became quite personal and offensive—including calling me a liar. Please be so kind, if you choose to respond, to at least refrain from insulting me. I’m happy to clarify some of the points you mentioned. My feedback wasn’t about the quality of your food, but solely about what we felt was an excessive price-performance ratio. Yes, I had to approach you at the counter after you took the order to ask for the price, as you didn’t provide any indication of exactly what we would get or how much it would cost when we ordered. I had understood it to be €14 per person, which, in our opinion, would have been fair based on our experiences over the past two weeks in Montenegro. Since 40 and 14 sound similar, I blame the language barrier and take full responsibility for my misunderstanding. That said—and this is exactly why people leave reviews—while the food was certainly very good and tasty (hence the praise), it simply wasn’t worth the price charged. The sweets you keep referring to in this and other replies—of which we had two each, by the way—were nothing special, just generic Celebration-type candy. For comparison, I’ve added a sample recipe and pricing from Eco Village Nevidio, which reflects what’s typical in the area. I also strongly reject your claim that we spoke badly about our cabin’s landlord. Quite the opposite—we praised him multiple times. Looking back, I do wish we had followed his kind restaurant recommendations instead. I don’t usually respond to business owners’ replies, but being called a liar is unacceptable. Contrary to your belief, I am neither the first nor the only person who has raised concerns about your pricing—and at this rate, more may feel encouraged to do the same. All the best to you. This was a wonderful stop for dinner. The food, traditional Montenegrin style, was and fresh, and made with love! It was beautiful to watch the sunset from the porch where we ate. The hospitality there was wonderful, and we enjoyed a lovely evening over a delicious meal, surrounded by the beauty of the valley. It's a pity that Google maps doesn't show this little hidden gem. We stayed at the silent house and went there by chance. We loved everything! Mamma Ljilja cooks traditional montenegrin food with ingredients produced in the valley, we had dinner and breakfast at really good price, both delicious and made with love. The road is not marked in google maps but if you arrive to the Nevidio canyon starting point, then you continue the road straight and it is really easy to arrive. Thanks for everything, we will be back for sure! This place is run directly by an absolutely delightful host! Highly recommended by travelers staying in Komarnica. The food is local, the atmosphere feels like family, and it’s as if you’re dining at a friend’s home. There was only one meal served, and it was unique — we were not disappointed. Payment is cash only, and unfortunately, we didn’t have any with us at the time. The owner was very accommodating and kindly allowed us to pay the following day after we were able to withdraw some money. The setting was idyllic, made even more charming by the cats, dog, and chicken roaming around. We recommend this place ! Nolwenn & Donel from France The best lamb with the most stunning view with the coldest beer I’ve ever had. No more words needed. Go visit this place! An outstanding place! The owner is incredibly warm and sweet, making you feel right at home. The food is delicious, made entirely from fresh, ingredients. And the views—absolutely breathtaking! No menu, all cooked fresh to your tastes from locally produced meats, cheeses, and vegetables. Amazing food and cold beers. Highly, highly recommend. No cards tho, so bring cash. Ate delicious breakfast. Lilia, the owner, is super kind, friendly and welcoming. We fell in love with the place, it's all magical nature. Will definitely come back.
