Sauna Pust Tromsø

A beautifully minimal and simple with great views out the sauna. Great for sore muscles after hiking/running. Bring two towels (they don't supply any), one for sitting on inside the and the other for drying yourself off. Soul cleansing in Tromsø. The traditional Sami felt scenic with the large windows looking out onto the and landscape and maintained a great temperature the whole even with people coming in and out. It is laid out so that you can socialise or close your eyes and listen to people enjoying the atmosphere with their old and new friends. The dip was very refreshing and well laid out with a ladder to go down into. The whole thing was very easy to book online, easy to find, and simple to navigate around. Some considerations that may be useful to others to expect: there is diesel run off from all the boats in the harbour which unfortunately comes into the area where you take a plunge. It can be washed off easily but some people may be sensitive to this. The room is very basic in a very small space with one small shower which can be a bit cosy when it is busy…be prepared to rub shoulders with your fellow sauna-goers! The storage in the room was open with no possibility to lock things away and sadly my t-shirt was stolen. I would definitely visit again but would go without valuables, fewer clothes, and I would plan to head straight back to your hotel for a warm shower and change out of slightly damp clothes rather than walking around town or going for lunch. So fun! A must do if you are in the area. Did this at the end of march and the was 2.8 c and 37 f so cold! You start out by in a small cubby room that has a giant window facing the mountains so it was cool while you changed. Then you make your way over to the sauna. There are two different options, quiet and one you could talk in. We didn’t the talking one and got to talk to people from around the world. You stay in the until you get hot enough and then you jump into the in the roped off spot. It was an unbelievable feeling. We did it four times and each got worse in my opinion lol. It’s better to just jump in rather than lowering yourself in. This place would’ve got a 5 star but I feel like they should offer towels or some kind of sock/shoe during your visit. Unforgettable experience. The shall be booked online and the price is very cheap, especially there are some discounts for students. I paid around 230 Swedish krones for 2 persons. You just do self check in and go inside without any interaction This was so fun! It’s easy to use (but be sure to remember your PIN code before plunging) and I felt really great after. Super cool experience! This was my first going to a in Norway, but a great concept to put it on the sea, so you can do the plunge there. It is a fully automated place, so it had its downs that there was some trash in the rooms. But you enter with a code received one hour before your reservation and enter with that. The plunge is outside so either memorise the code or don’t close the door behind you. Again as there were no employee there, the towel rule was not really followed. I can recommend it, but it depends on the people who will be there as well. Unique this was the first I did plunge and and it was truly an amazing I will never forget. We booked an hour slot for the Lavvu and it was very nice I found that by the you get used to the your hour is almost up but still worth it in my opinion. However some improvements for Pust to consider is that the door to the ladies locker for the Lavvu was not closing properly which I didn’t like considering we left our belongings there. Secondly it was very slippery so I would suggest to add more anti slip mats around the benches since me and another person slipped and hurt our feet pretty badly so be careful when coming out of the water. That being said do be mindful as your heart rate increases and you might find it hard to breathe when you plunge I wish that the reception gave us a little more information about this however there is some information on their website as well. Incredible - the setting makes this truly unique. Sweat it out in the as you watch boats go by in snow and ice just outside… you can jump into the ice harbor if you’re feeling brave! Staff was available if we needed them. We booked the “quiet” although, not silent. Seems the locals also come here. Separate women’s and men’s rooms (although you can’t be shy b/c there is no private rooms) Bring a couple of towels and bottle with you. You do have to remember a 6 digit code to get into the door every time, but too big of deal. is a MUST activity in Tromsø. Book with as hours get booked fast!! Please take into account you need to bring your own towel, and recommend to bring flip flops specially if you plan getting in the lovely ocean 😂 Also if you have never done it, please don't jump straight into the water, but by steps for healthy reasons. Absolutely amazing experience!! People inside it’s lovely I always come out with a new friend or two. Also! Girls entrance is at the right and men at the left. AND if you decide to go out (to swim) remember either not to close the door or to remember the passcode as you can get locked out and not fun with -11° outside!
