With 2 people working, it work about 45 minutes to get to us. I could see that they helped people book tours, break down the city pass options, and give directions. The service was efficient for me. Happy to get the certificate and also the city pass made sense for the things we wanted to do. Next to the cruise ship port that is very easy to identify, located in a building looks like a shopping mall from outside, there are couple clothing stores and a cafe with seating area! The visitor centre are located in the middle of the building, you need to take a mumble from a machine and wait for your turn! The visitor center also has limited amount of items you can purchase! Buses routes also clearly displayed! It is very and warm and helpful place! We booked a excursion in Visit Tromsø and had very helpful advices and experience. It was nice. The staff, Jill, was friendly and lovely Friendly and helpful personnel. They could speak English, Norwegian, German, Japanese and most likely much more. Through the information desk, a huge variety of activities can be booked. For example: dog sledding or Northern lights chase. Ice climbing etc. The shop features awesome tourist gifts. Including post cards and stamps. Lovely kiosk, very mulled wine. You have to drink on premises due to Norwegian licencing laws, they provide a covered seated area for this which works well. We got our polar certificate here and the service was very good and the people were very and helpful! They are amazing i booked 3 tours with them during my stay in Tromso, the tours were amazing and well organised the guides lovely and they very well communicated, highly recommended Tromso should be visited twice (at least). In summer to admire the midnight sun . In winter for the legendary northern lights. We have waited like 30 minutes in order to buy 2x day passes. The staffs are nice. The day pass is very printed. But there can be more staffs organized so that not all 2 counters are long possessed of the tourist who inquires more than 20 minutes. I booked a fishing trip on 25.01.18. The departure time was 10am, and when I arrived at the destination at 9:30am, there was no one there. I called them and was told to come back at 10am. When I came back at 10am, I still didn’t see anybody. And after 15 mins, they just told me they had left. The agency didn’t give me any explanation or solution and their attitude was so bad that just because I’m Chinese. I haven’t got my refund yet. They are very irresponsible, they don't reply to emails or phone calls, and they put the blame on the customer. Don't order any service here, you will be treated unfairly and you will feel disappointed in the city of Tromso.
