Absolutely beautiful views. This "sea of clouds" effect is stunning. Unfortunately, in this place, you can spend a lot of time on T- Bar lifts - not comfortable and rather slow. Only two or three chairlifts. Restaurant operates next to the cable car. Visiting this place could be good option for 1 day maybe. Beautiful village in the val d' Anniviers. No cars in the center make it very enjoyable. Local bakery, stores, art galleries, antique stores and numerous restaurants and cafes and bars. Walk to the finiculaire and climb up to the top of the mountain for gorgeous views and hiking trails. Grocery store on the way out of the village if driving towards the valley. A lovely village, easy to reach by coach or car, just 20 minutes away from Sierre down in the valley. A village full of character and lovely slopes in the Winter. We discover Val d'Anniviers last year same season and found this valley great. Saint Luc offers a great view on the glacier and has more commodities than Chandolin. Don't miss the desalpe each year around 14 Sept, the long weekend. And if you like hiking, lots of trails offered at the top of the funicular! Really liked the skiing area. You should definitely eat a pralinato (ice cream) Picturesque ski resort in the middle of Valais. Resides within French-speaking Switzerland. Mostly families and Swiss visitors from the surrounding region / cantons. Very few non-Swiss / tourists. The mountain is great but ultimately the skiing experience suffers due to lack of proper chair lifts. 90% of St.-Luc pistes require use of a T-Bar lift.
