To drive, the road is narrow and it is common to park or reverse the car in the few large nooks on the road and allow a different car to pass. Snow removal is scarce, it would be beneficial to bring boots if possible! This park and surrounds has lots to offer.... well worth taking a look around particularly interesting is the Romanesque tower of St. Stephan's church and its art collection ... one especially beautiful is the Dance of Death fresco... rediscovered in 1982.... There is a very nice hanging bridge. From here you can reach in approx 20 minutes the restaurant Chesa Teretschen Steakhouse in Leukerbad. The place is quite beautiful and one may also book tours and get information on different trails. Reserve half a day for any kind of hiking adventures. Some free parking spots are available marked in white. There is also a trail to walk towards Sierra. Many trails, great nature, perfect for hiking and general outdoor activities. No entrance fees. Beautiful hiking spot! Hiked during the late afternoon in November. It was quiet and had the whole trail to myself. Beautiful landscapes! Just woooow! It's better that you take few water bottles with you tho. Really easy and short route (30-40 min walking), perfect for children.
