Beautiful situated a few minutes drive from Porthcawl Town centre. Popular all year with surfers, families and walkers, so the large car park frequently gets very busy. Always worth going early on weekends and during holidays. On this visit we took the boardwalk from Rest Bay to Pink Bay, it's a lovely all weather coastal path that runs between the golf course and sea. Absolutely stunning beach. Pretty big car a Park at the top that is only a pound on Sundays. Good for surfing, bodyboarding etc Beautiful place to start a coastal walk. Kite surfers, and sea lovers are loving the waves. Rock pools here,Amazing open space, incredible light at different times of the year. They have huge area of dunes. Great cafe here and rental stuff for the sea. Cheap car park. Been many times. Winter will blow the cobwebs away let me tell you 😄👍 Great day out with my daughter. Ramp down to was good as we had a pushchair and a hand pulled trailer. Immediately thought of other beaches but they only had steps. This was cheaper parking. Ramp to beach. Lifeguards. Excellent with rock pools and a compact sand ideal for pushchairs to go right out to the sea. Made great sand castles with my daughter. Nice moist and compact sand. Lovely day. Only Dog Friendly From 1st Sept as Not Allowed Through The Summer . Pay & Display Car Park Opposite, Nice Cafe & Public Toilets. Beautiful place with beautiful views. Went for a walk after work and was so calm and peaceful. There's even a cafe and ice cream shop near the car park. Definitely worth a visit with the family. Amazing place. Visited today March 30th 2024 and the place is stunning. Nice sand to play, lots of Rocks to explore. Will definitely be a place to return. Lovely day at the beach!! Lots of water activities for kids and adults alike. It was quite busy BUT there were loads of space (including parking) so we could social distance and enjoy the day at the beach. There is a cafe & lifeguard services. I would avoid the ladies washroom though it was dirty and very unclean. I'm not sure if the cafe has washrooms that are in better condition. But would visit the again to spend the day. What a great place, i must have visited 200 times over the years.
