Huge and incredibly beautiful sandy beach. Can get busy but not overcrowded. Plenty of parking nearby. It's a decent sandy when the tide is in, but loses a star because when the tide is out a dip in the sea means squishing through mud and walking out what feels like several miles just to get the water level past your knees. The council keeps the clean but sadly a lot of litter is left behind after hot summer days when it's busy. It's a nice all year round with two headlands to around. Muddy beach, with plenty of Gavin and Stacey related and cafes. When the tide is out you have quite a to get to the water. Lifeguard is usually on duty. Can get busy during holiday period. Nice looking beach. Dog restrictions in the summer months. Some arcades and rides along the sea front. Very sandy with rocks to climb at the edge. There are huts. There is also a large rock climbing wall for children to climb on. There are public toilets, a water fountain to fill your bottle up and also a shower, to rinse the off you. Will definitely look to return in the future. Not too busy. Clean and great. Thought the fair was bigger but its not. I went on a rainy and cloudy day and the was just empty. Which isn't really bad, i prefer it that way. But at the same time, ask the and the theme park was closed. It felt a bit sad actually. Not the worst beach, but I have seen a bit better. At least it wasn't windy like it is in Blackpool. Lovely promenade to stroll along and admire the fantastic ocean view. Plenty of benches to sit along the way, and plenty of cafes and restaurants for refreshments. Limited parking on the sea-front, but plenty of parking further out from the front, although it is a fair away. Barry Island is a lovely place to visit, and we had a wonderful there. It’s perfect for a day out with family or friends, and there’s something for everyone to enjoy. The is clean and spacious, with soft and beautiful views of the sea. Whether you want to relax, take a walk, or have a paddle in the water, it’s a spot to unwind and enjoy the fresh air. There are plenty of food options around, from traditional fish and chips to ice cream and coffee shops. The local and arcades add to the fun atmosphere, especially for children and families. It has a classic seaside charm that makes you feel welcome and happy. The promenade is well-maintained and for a stroll, with lots of benches where you can sit and take in the views. The colourful huts and friendly environment make it even more enjoyable. There’s also a fairground with rides and games, adding excitement for kids and young people. Overall, Barry Island is a peaceful, fun, and family-friendly place to visit. Whether it’s sunny or cloudy, you’re sure to enjoy your there. We’ll definitely be coming back again soon! What an amazing place to spend with family. From a variety of activities for people of all ages to a lovely along the sea Lovely beach. It has soft and not rocky sand. The view is amazing as well as the fresh breeze. There's many places around it as well like the fair with lots of crazy rides, shops, fish x chips and arcades. And a big car park there. A nice with a promenade and gelato with a funfair just across the road. The best part is a rock cliff just off the beach, a gorgeous and quiet place to sit and enjoy the beauty of the ocean away from the crowds. Love this place! Just a atmosphere every we go. Lots to see & do & the most beautiful beach. Had a lovely lunch from Greggs & sat outside in glorious November sun, walked along the with our 2 dogs before a 4 day break in West Wales. We’ll be back! 😀 Barry Island is one of my favourite local places no matter the weather. Obviously it’s for the young and older kids with arcades, coffee and chip shops. Even in the colder months it is enjoyed when you need a out and a on the with your dog. Aside from the chip they do have Greggs and Kaspas further past the amusements. You can from whitmore bay over to the knap where the will be a pebble but you will find swans in the lake and more coffee shops. I’ve been going to Barry island my whole life and every I look forward to it. Barry Island is a place to spend the day! The is soft, the sea is beautiful, and the is very clean. There are lots of fun things to do, like playing in the arcades, enjoying the rides, and walking along the promenade. It’s a perfect place for families, friends, or anyone who loves the beach. I will definitely visit again!
