Porthcawl is OK, it has a descent beach, a fun fair, arcades, fast food places, if your lucky you can find on road parking, but there are pay and display car parks. There is an Aldi right by the which is ideal for getting food for picnics on the beach. There is a distinct lack of public toilets which is a shame if you have a need for one. Good luck finding one. The town centre is ok nothing special. A first visit with the next generation of my family. He thoroughly enjoyed the fairground even though the weather was wet. A payable car ark is available just across the road from the and funfair. Good local fish 'n' chip shops, too. Lovely beach, good choice of food and drink outlets, fairground, amusement arcades, bar and entertainment. My only beef is it's scruffy and dirty, but it was very busy and bank holiday weekend. It needs more people collecting rubbish. Great fantastic day out we got a wrist band for unlimited rides, (except bumper cars tokens only,,) Really busy when we went but on average about a 5/10 minute wait for the popular will be a sad day when this closes permanently 😞 a big mistake buy porthcawl council, 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎 Brill day out. Have be careful buying a wrist band has the hights are all different for kids. They quick to take ur money but dont tell u height. Had the fun of my life here.. So many fun things to do for both kids and adult. Get the wrist band and save more than paying for single activities. Lovely place but hard to get parking and lack of good food A great day out for all the family from the to amusement arcades to the amusement park Great fair right on the front, no disabled or carer tickets available and the bad thing is if you have a child with special needs (age 6)who can only go on the junior they won't let you by a junior wrist band if there just over the height limit but they can go on them?realy unfair! you have to purchase a £20 wristband even though they won't go on any of the big bit unfair realy, but realy worthit if you plan to go on all rides. Good day out all round. Lovely sandy What a amazing day this was my niece loved it I loved it going on had ice cream went to see the donkey's and that day I found out I am going to be a nanny for the first time with my daughter 😀 so that made it extra special I broke my heart in the middle of the fair haha Love taking my youngest into Porthcawl he’s never not amused… not only do you have the and lengthy coastline not to mention the local celebrity Lizzie…there’s also the fun fair (seasonal hours) but not for much longer as it’s closing altogether…there’s the hi-tide restaurant which is fab plus many other food options along with the arcades plus the town centre within walking distance..great place what’s not to love Lovely experience. Perfect for young kids. Wrist bands are the best as can go on as many times as you would like for cheaper than paying for each ride !.caravan place nearby to rent too. Amazing for a little get away.
