Impressive just a stones throw from Ennistymon Main Street. We parked for free in Glencree car park and joined the path from just before the and Spa. Oh my word... This was the highlight of my trip and nothing I could put on camera did it any justice. Hidden and completely exclusive it seemed... I found it by chance. Sadly because of Covid times everything was closed and I did not get to see the inside to this massive family owned hotel. But their surrounds are remarkable. Just to watch especially after rain fall. There is a at the side of and is about a mile long it's quite and peaceful well worth a trip and with the over go to or numerous cafes in the town.I l parked at the entrance to the hotel. Nicely shaped cascades with a bridge on top. Very nice place. Nice trails. Very views little spot. Based on some of the reviews I figured it would barely be a trickle but the were gorgeous and you could hear them. We enjoyed walking around them and then checking out the nearby donkeys. We finished with a 99 flake ice cream nearby. Good for a weekend visit. Does have some mesmerizing views place and the cascades are really amazing. We found Ennistymon to be a little with a character. Way to cascades are next to shop The Cheese Press (do try the cheese selection there).. The rapids are loud and look very powerful.. and this I saw on a very hot afternoon, I can only imagine its power on a rainy day.. Also there is stepped way next to the spot, climb on it to enjoy the along the River and to capture amazing views of rivers and in steps with the bridge and scape in the background.. Big boulders of rock along the River provide a nice spot to enjoy the serenity and private moments with your family.. Definitely recommend!!.. Fabulous Old Glen public starts at the Cascades running by the along the river- it eventually brought us onto Larry Rd for 10 minutes and then back onto the Old Glen in a loop- took about 50 minutes bringing us into under the arches by the Cheese Press - beautifully laid out especially in sunshine Wow wow and it’s all in the middle of the there is some walking up steep hills but it’s all smooth and level and the Cascades are absolutely and the sound that goes with the sheer volume of water flowing down this rocky hill is fabulous a must see for sure Wow wow and it’s all in the middle of the there is some walking up steep hills but it’s all smooth and level and the Cascades are absolutely and the sound that goes with the sheer volume of water flowing down this rocky hill is fabulous a must see for sure Sicher sehr toll, wenn mehr Wasser sa ist. Wir hatten Pech. Sehr niedriger Wasserstand Free parking next to the bridge, the cascades are mesmerising. You can lose track of time easily just watching the falls. Stunning place to sit and have a picnic. In the centre of Ennistymon you can find this peace of magic.First cascades, than in the forest 🌳.Its like a paradise in the middle of town. And on the hill in the centre of this paradise If you are looking for something unique, you can find here calming and relax.Enjoy!☺️ Toller Ort und super schöne leichte aber lange Wanderung The were nice. Close to the Cascades in Ennistymon you can take river or forrest walk. I went the Old Glen Green in forrest, which the locals call the Fairy Forrest and they surely know why! If you are looking for peaceful and quiet place to calm your mind and yourself then this is the place for you!!! nature, green paradise with nothing around just the sound of trees, river and birds. I was enchanted! Vaut la visite waterfall in the center of town. Worth a visit. What a shame that the sewage is pump out straight into the river at the waterfall... It could be a with a clean river running through it. Hope the will build a proper water treatment plant. spot with nicely maintained alongside the river.
