The was extremely greasy, when I lifted it up, the whole plate bottom was filled with fat that leaked from the waffle. Thus it also made the not crispy because the bottom was soaked in fat. And the creamy mushrooms was too salty to my taste. The rhubarb pie was but nothing special. The environment is very beautiful. Great indoor decor with furnitures of taste, and a big outdoor garden. If you are taking a road trip in the neighborhood, it’s worth checking out. My Sambo and I had breakfast here during the weekend. A location where you get to experience having tasty while enjoying the scenery of grass in the foreground that looks painted like in Totoro, a Ghibli movie. I ordered Japansk Matcha Söta Våfflor (110 kr) with Matcha Latte, and my sambo had Japansk Zucchini (115 kr) with coffee. It’s a place to stop for some food and drink if you drive by but not worth driving all the way for it. I ordered ice matcha latte and it’s the worst I have ever had. The matcha was bitter and old in quality. The double chocolate milkshake was overly sweet. The savoury Japanese was weird in taste and the sweet Japanese with ice cream was okay at best. I’d order something more standard as the base itself was the tastiest without any toppings One of my favourite places around my hometown, the never miss and the toppings are delicious. Personal recommendation for a savoury is the salmon/laxröra, and for sweet you have to try a classic Swedish jam (all of them are equally delicious, but go for hjortron if you’ve never had it before) and cream combination. One of us is gluten intolerant and another vegetarian (me), but finding something for everyone here was no problem at all. The were perfectly crispy and incredibly flavorful. I went for the “Norrlands,” which was both delicious and very filling. The setting is just as charming as the food – with cozy tables and chairs placed around the garden, and a beautiful house offering indoor seating.
