The City Hall square is one of the central places worth visiting in Le Havre, and that's just because of the gardens. The Jardins are really beautiful, spread around the square with fountains around, very pleasant to walk through. However, the huge concrete City Hall, reminding on some East Germany railway station totally spoils the impression and therefore I rate it 3 stars Very interesting post WW2 architecture. An imposing building of modern design with a water feature in the front of it It's a beautiful place with many fountains and interesting sculptures. If you ever visit it make sure to check out the timescope machine in front of the tramway stop, it will allow you to see in 3D how the city was in the past, there are 2 years that you can check, one before the world war where the city got completely destroyed and one after it. It's a unique experience. The hall itself is not the most beautiful of buildings. However the gardens, plaza, statues, and other amazing things around it more than make up for it and are well worth wandering around regardless of the time of year. right in thebheart of tj city where the politions of yhe metropolistic noise fould have been dominant lies Hotel de ville . . however fedpote so much hpimg on around this majestic building is the largest congregation of wayer fountaon that I have ever seen. it's so interesting that all of these is only minutes walk from the seaside Very beautiful place.. Its full of unique fountains and sculptures.. Wonderful place to stay. Especially during the summer. The beach is lovely. You can visit th3 port, beach (which has many small cafes to the side), as well as an art museum dedicated to impressionism. It is a few hours away from Etretats and Honflour, the fisherman's wharf which are also worth visiting. Amazing Staffs.
