One of the Most Revieweds in Villers-sur-Mer Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. Small but informative. Younger children would like it most but my two are into this sort of thing and both enjoyed it. A nice pavilion housing fossils and bones. A smart long arrangement with some interesting rooms. However all in all it’s a modest sized place and will take about 30mins or so to walk round. In a lovely parkland setting, with a cafe and rent a bikes nearby. We really enjoyed it! The space seems small, but the museum is divided into diverse sections and full of interesting information (about space, dinosaurs, fossils, etc). The setting is incredible and I would’ve liked to spend more time exploring the swamp and trails just outside; it’s nice that the museum integrates that into their exhibit. There are a lot of interactive features for children. Older children can borrow tablets to participate in a lot of educational activities. Our son is too little for this, but he enjoyed touching the models of fossils and dinosaurs that can be found throughout the museum, at the appropriate level for the smallest guests 😊 We’ll definitely come back when he is older and he can appreciate the museum and natural park even more! Great little find! The kids liked it, there was an English audio guide provided on a tablet and lots of interactive activities. Some of the reviews mentioned how small it was, but there was plenty on display and very informative and educational though my two are dinosaur mad. There was also a well kept marshland walk around the grounds with a playground on the way round. Well worth a visit. Interesting but not at that price at all considering the size and number of exhibits. Plus, looks like most of the investment was done in souvenirs part but…at least one was very funny for me. Look like the one from internet memes about shinkflation. This is a lovely little museum, very informative and beautiful dinosaurs. I loved how many specimens were found by amateurs, I loved the horseshoe crab and its journey and the big stegosaurus outside! The shop offers a wide variety of things for all ages. The layout was a bit confusing as the entrance and shop are in the middle of the building with exhibits on the left and right side. A real gem of an exhibition space for anyone enthusiastic about fossils. Everything from big therapod dinosaurs to ichthyosaurs, ammonites and many marine invertebrates found locally. And a fantastic exhibit on the Greenwich Meridian with an interactive analemma. Such a great value visit for under 10 Euros for an adult. Very nice, however not too large and not particularly cheap.
