Very close the old town.. This is an important travel hub in Germany. Unfortunately, if you visit this place you'll experience dirty toilets, no seating options or waiting area. Beside that, the is full of homeless and drunk people. As arhitecture and functionality the infrastructure is impressive. Youll feel there in danger if it happen to travel late. I use this central daily. It's very accessible by metro, bus and trams. It's full of stores such as McDonald's, KFC, Muller and many more. Sometimes it's very crowded but it's not a big problem. The only bad thing is that you have to pay to go to the bathroom around 1 Euro. You try to be conscientious about the environment and ride the ICE train/public transportation, just to be stuck in main for an hour due to tracks being blocked. Fix the problem or people will not ride the trains :-( I should have flown instead. Terrible. I had to wait at the in Nürnberg over night. There's no waiting room, neider loung. Upstairs are a few banks, where most of them are occupied by homeles people. The level of hygiene is very low and poor. Better to avoid it, if you wish to st ay healthy. Very family friendly- dedicated support staff helped us with getting the stroller from and to the train. Other staff also extremly helpful. Good choice of food options in the station. They have these odd rotating self-cleansing toilet seats at the bathroom. I went there, sat and in the middle of my "business" the toilet seat felt so dirty it could not handle me sitting on it anymore so, it started splashing water at me and rotating the seat. I exited the toilet room and saw a feedback smiley scale tablet on the wall and decided to give a feedback.
