It’s not too crowded, which makes it even more enjoyable to explore at your own pace. Definitely worth a if you’re in the area! I visited last week and it was good place. Quite place. I went for 1 day trip. Enough parking space and sunny weather. I enjoy 4 hours there. Recommend for visit. Magical close to Hannover, sadly still closed, but it’s still beautiful to see even just from outside. Maxton Hall was also filmed there and there are three scenes outside the that you can if you’re a fan like me, it’s a nice place for just having a nice walk or taking pictures On our way back from Hanover to Einbeck on a sunny summer afternoon, we made a quick stop at this beautiful near Pattensen. Even though it wasn’t open for tours at the time, it was absolutely worth it: easy access from the road, plenty of parking, and a big green area perfect for a short walk or just relaxing in the sun. The itself looks like something out of an old fairytale, with lots of authentic details and views from every side. It’s a lovely and memorable stop that I’d recommend to anyone driving between Hanover and Einbeck!🏰🌳 One of the most fairytale castles ive visited in north germany 😍 & of course the shooting location of MaxtonHall Limited access due to renovations atm Pov: Can't wait to revisit in summer when the entire will be accessible On our way back from Hanover to Einbeck on a sunny summer afternoon, we made a quick stop at this beautiful near Pattensen. It’s a lovely and memorable stop that I’d recommend to anyone driving between Hanover and Einbeck!🏰🌳 The explanations were in German, but they could have been in English as well. I couldn’t go inside because it was temporarily closed. The walking path was amazing—it was a very unique experience. I hope the interior opens soon; I’d like to again. Unfortunately, the is temporarily for renovation. But, nice grounds, trails to walk, and free parking. Beautiful with architecture and surroundings. Unfortunately, it was during our visit, so we couldn't explore the interior. Still worth a stop to admire the exterior and enjoy the views. Marienburg is absolutely — one of the most impressive medieval castles in the world. The architecture is massive, detailed, and perfectly preserved. Walking through the halls feels like stepping back in time, from the brick courtyards to the Grand Masters’ rooms and the beautiful views over the river. The museum exhibits are excellent, very organized, and full of history. The audio guide makes the experience even better, explaining every corner of this incredible fortress. It’s a long visit, but worth every minute. Highly recommended for anyone who loves architecture, history, or just wants to see something unforgettable. This looks like a great Schloss to but make sure you check the times as it is not open on Unification Day! Really nice place! Currently it's not possible to the rooms inside the as it needs some renovation. But it's also quite impressive from the outside. We could go inside the courtyard of the where a nice little restaurant is. I can definitely recommend it for a short trip. Truly a place with a wonderful energy. Unfortunately, it was when we went, but its exterior architecture beautifully reflected the energy of that era. If you go when the weather is nicer, it will be different. I assume the small restaurant mentioned was also because we went on October 3rd. I recommend carrying coin with you for a small keepsake.
