Big Hidden gem! 🇷🇴 Vila Florica, also known as the Brătianu Mansion, is a historic estate located in Ștefăneşti, Romania. It was the residence of the influential Brătianu family. The mansion, built in the Neo-Romanian architectural style, combines modern and traditional elements, with a notable use of wood. The estate includes 40 rooms, some of which still contain original furniture from the Brătianu family. The mansion is surrounded by a beautiful park and features architectural elements like bas-reliefs and friezes. It has been transformed into the National Brătianu Museum, preserving all his legacy. Only 5 minutes by car from Pitesti. Entrance for a small fee… 5 lei for children and 20 lei for adults. Reservation in advance is required for groups. Visited December 2024 Very nice villa to so close to Pitesti. Lovely place, the home made goodies (prepared by the nuns) are a must try. A historic place with great arhitecture and lots of history. The guide was very helpful. Beware if visiting in the weekend due to lots of weeding photo shoots which do add up time to your visit. Beautiful villa backed by the forest near Ștefănești, Argeș. There's lot of here while the inside architecture is reminiscent of Zambaccian Museum in Bucharest After 20 years I had the pleasure to this wonderful place. Bratianu's is the most famous with 3 prim-ministers born in the same house. Their villa Florica has a wonderful architecture and it was kept in very well conditions, even in communist times. Very interesting museum, with well-informed curators. An impressive place - regarding architecture, history, interior design and renovation works. The people working there are all very polite, friendly and helpful. It's definitely a must see. Very beautiful and historical place. A hidden gem. Our guide provided a lot of and information about the place. Definitely recommend to Amazingly well preserved. A must see piece of for everyone who wants to know more about one of the founding fathers of modern Romania. The tour guide was also super nice. So glad I visited, it made my day. A lot of history, very well preserved books and antiques, beautiful authentic pieces of traditional folk costumes, including a waving loom like the one my grand grandmother had and stunning stoves. This mansion belonged to the Brătianu Family, one of the oldest noble families. It is a wonderful building reminding old times when everything used to be made to last over years. Despite the fact that communists destroyed everything excepting the walls and burnt all the books in front of the house, the atmosphere of the house was restored with furniture from other places in the fashion of those time. The guide knows many stories about the members and the way the communists destroyed this family. This is one of the most beautiful museums telling stories about the past and about people of value who played an important role in the of the country. Wonderful place. We visited on a rainy, November Sunday and we had a private guided tour.We found out a lot of interesting things about the Brătianu family. The place is a hidden gem that is worth a visit. Very well conditioned space, pretty chilly (visited mid may) -but exceptional for preserving items of grand historical importance. Outside the main vila surroundings are similar to forests and they bring a very chill and relaxed vibe. The birds chirruping also add flavour to the landscape. Took 2h to cover main and secondary rooms and surroundings but you can get lost pretty easy for about 4h exploring (isn’t a warning for parents, children will love outdoor and indoor) . Recommend serving a wine or şpriț depending on the weather after the 😏 Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
