Lovely place, and the food was pretty good too. Service loses one star as it was a bit slow in places (it wasn't very busy) but overall, thoroughly enjoyable. It's been a few years since I was in here , called in for food passing through , a great pint and a great steak sandwich !!! Found this on the way to Trim Castle. Just went in for a quick lunch and was surprised at the elegance of the pub. We ordered fish and chips and it was fantastic. The cod was so tender and fresh and the batter was thin and crunchy. The staff were very friendly and happy to help. We went there rather late for lunch so it wasn't very busy, but I have no doubt during normal lunch and dinner hours it's vibrant. Great place!
