Fun little shop that offers tons of gifts to purchase. They have just about anything you could think of to purchase from Iceland. Pricing was a lot more affordable than gift shops in the city. We got some beautiful hand knitted gloves, magnets, and coasters! Worth a stop in to purchase hand made goods! Nice spot to do some product shopping. Staff were friendly and you could source anything from a sweater to fish or even jams and other items. Good prices as well. The selection of Lopapeysa (Icelandic traditional 100% wool sweaters) is impressive both in terms of design and in terms of sizes. If you are a tourist you cannot leave Iceland without buying one and I've haven't seen so many of them together before. They are pricey but they last a lifetime and the wool is local. They are very useful in damp and windy weather besides being very stylish in design and nowadays finding 100% wool is difficult. You can also find here some food and crafts material. The shop is neat with good lighting, well arranged goods and kind service. Worth a stop to browse and support the community if you're passing by. I bought salad and green tomatoes jam. Both excellent and not dearer than in a supermarket. Wonderfully situated N1 . I needed some camp gas , and this is my go to shop for this. We also 'needed' more icelandic trinkets for our 2nd visit. Ample parking, even if you don't need fuel in your vehicle you can come inside here and get food (hot fresh cooked, fast food), drinks, snacks, souvenirs, etc. Nice spacious store with the friendliest of staff. A real restful place to visit and recharge for the road ahead. The person at the store was extremely helpful in providing information and maps to attractions in the NW Iceland region. The store had a great variety of crafts at reasonable prices. This was a great example of Icelandic hospitality. If you're looking for a place that sells art made by locals this is it!!! One of our favorite stops on our honeymoon. We found a lot gems and the person who worked there was so helpful and lovely, it was a great experience. The old lady working the counter was either negligent or disingenuous. I think both. She could not offer us the discount mentioned on the door, even after pointing it out. We got billed 2x the amount on my credit card, which she could not reverse either. Ended up receiving cash from her which I didn't get a chance to spend anyway. She did not give an itemized receipt either - I couldn't claim the tax refund. Some competence is expected from a business, however "cottage" it is. My money is not free. Do not buy yarn from here. I bought one of the yarn sweater kits for my Grandma (a very experienced knitter) and the yarn was so bad she couldn’t knit with it. It completely fell apart as she tried to knit. She had never seen such a thing before. And it wasn’t cheap either.
