The place is just OK — not very clean, tables were a bit dirty, and the overall vibe felt neglected. Staff were fine, nothing special. The view is decent if you manage to get a good seat. But at the end of the day, it’s Costa — expect something that tastes like generic hotel coffee. Nothing memorable. A large and busy coffee/ bakery house. They have a big selection of sandwiches, and cookies. The bread they use is fresh and tasty, however the filling is quite meagre, with small pieces of chicken, bacon or beef. What I didn’t like was the attitude of the staff. A certain member was rude as she thought we were there to use the facilities. When I objected about the way she talked to us, she didn’t even bother to offer an apology. I urge Costa to offer their staff better training on how to treat their customers. An easy and obvious morning stop close to gas and groceries for and pastries. It's a bustling stop with fast friendly service and an expansive view of the water. It doesn't have the personal feel of a small business, but it is effective. In all of our Iceland travels, this cafe had the SINGLE BEST FOOD ITEM, the Iceland marzipan cake (a chocolate covered slice of cake with a small Iceland flag on top). HIGHLY recommend stopping here, just for this cake. Easy to take on the road - you can even hold it in your hand to eat! Very rude lady, don't like her tone the way she speak. Asked to pay for a small cup of they put on a flusk in the open. No sign saying what it is. Is it hot water? If accidently pour do I need to throw away? There are glasses and flusk of water on the same spot. All 14 of us were there having Latte and cakes. It not like we didn't eat anything ☹️. At least if they put up a sign saying water is free but the in the flusk have to pay, then it's different story. The point is they way she confront me about not paying for the as if I m trying to cheat for a free coffee. If she work in this service line she should know how to talk to a customer. The way we dress and speak she should already know we are not locals. As tourist we wouldn't know but we always try to be as friendly and courteous as possible Our favorite bakery in Iceland - and we’ve been to many. Very wide range of pastries, bread, ready-to-go sandwiches and more delicious things, there’s more choice here than anywhere else. The pastries always taste just a little bit better here than elsewhere. Today, we even made a detour to make a stop here and take some pastries and sandwiches along. And once again, they were so good.
