The guest house is great, in a small village in the middle of the nature. If you searching for a quiet place, you'll be happy there. The room is cosy, although the bed squeaks, but it part of the mountain charm. The breakfast was very good, with pancakes, marmelade and coffee and we ate there one night and the food was very good for a good price. The two hostesses are very kind, they are always smiling and doing their best for the customers. Thank you for everything!!! The place is awesome! Really! The rooms are great, luxorious, comfortable and the place is really calm, relaxing, beautiful and wiiide - there is much space for whatever you want to do outside. The dinner place is perfect for big groups and there is space for dancing. You can play the music you want and the food is very good and the service is great. I was lucky enough to meet one playful labrador there. I looooved it. There is a pool not that big and not deep but is a place where you can go and relax. It is really close to the Etar. One eco path away from it. We went 28 people and everybody loved their staying there even the most judging ones. If anyone have bad experience with this place it is probably an accident because the people give their best to make it good for their guests. All dishes and cutlery were provided by them, we just returned them back to the kitchen. No need to mention the beautiful views and nature, the sokolovski monastery nearby and the Etar. We stayed at Deskalov House for 2 nights. 2 adults and 2 teenage kids. We had a spacious 2 bedroom bungalow. The place is heavenly quiet, surrounded by fantastic views. Great base if you like walks or visiting nearby places. Staff was frendly and very helpful. Highly recommended. Location: 5 stars Beautiful, peaceful, and perfectly situated. No complaints here—definitely the highlight of the stay. Room: 1 star Unfortunately, the room had bed bugs. I only managed to sleep about 3 hours due to being bitten around my left eye and body. I killed three red mites and saw two more crawling on the bed. Despite the room’s charm, this was a serious hygiene issue that overshadowed everything else. Service: 2 stars The hosts were decent people, and I appreciated that they accepted a last-minute booking on a busy Easter Sunday. They also fixed the hot water quickly, which was helpful. However, when I reported the bed bug issue at checkout, the conversation took a disappointing turn. Though they apologized and said they’d clean the beds thoroughly, they became defensive, mentioning that giving us the room was a “compromise.” My concern was about health and cleanliness, not the type of room. Guests in this situation need to feel heard, not dismissed. A more professional response—centered on empathy, accountability, and clear action—would have made all the difference. I therefore cannot recommend this place.
