The smoke from the grill was coming towards us occasionally and it was hard to enjoy the food and you come out of the restaurant smelly. Polite staff although somewhat distracted. Lots of cats, some of which even climb on you. The tavern was rather pleasant - the tables in the garden were under big walnut trees and there was nice shade. The food was good - lots of variety and the staff were wearing traditional Bulgarian clothing. The menu had funny names; reasonably priced. Food is delicious and at normal prices, staff is extremely polite and the surroundings are traditional and very pleasant! Don’t forget to tip the cat ;) ! Good restaurant, given the area and the options. It is less impressive for the foreign tourist as it could do a lot more in using local produce. It does have a good yoghurt offering, but no local vegetables (or at least they do not inform about it) even though some farmers exist in the area, no mountain fish (we were told fish is in the sea, wink, wink), no info on local meat for the dishes. Overall they can do a lot better with not so much effort and give the locals some plus from tourism. We had a really great time dining at this restaurant in Bojentsi. The restaurant has such a cozy and authentic atmosphere, making it a perfect spot to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The food was absolutely delicious, bulgarian, flavorful, and clearly made with love. The service was just as impressive, with friendly staff who made us feel welcome and taken care of. If you’re in the area, I’d definitely recommend stopping by for a meal. It’s a gem! The place where you can have the best meatballs there are. Polite and competent service. The warm, rustic decor and gentle folk music create an inviting atmosphere. The menu showcases many authentic delights— with myself opting for Bob (bean soup), with Kebabche, Kufte and toasty Parlenka bread with cheese and garlic. All were crafted from fresh local ingredients and were fantastic. The friendly staff provide attentive service making this spot not just a meal, but rather a full charming cultural experience. Disaster, I don't understand how they got 4 stars, I ordered and after 1 hour they didn't manage to serve anything, at my friends' table they served cold soup in a warm bowl, the chicken was rancid, they didn't bring the side dish for the chicken until 30 minutes later, they're a joke.
