Service was extremely efficient and quick. All together a great meal. We chose this place for dinner last night based on good google reviews and it did not disappoint! The food, the service, the atmosphere- all top marks! The food is fresh and and the portion sizes are very very generous, great value! I asked about gluten free options and most of the items on their menu can be made gluten free. The waiter was very attentive and gave us some great recommendations without trying to oversell. Without his recommendations we would have ordered way too much food. The atmosphere is lovely and warm. It was busy during our visit but didn’t feel overcrowded. Overall I highly visiting! No notes - incredible atmosphere, incredible food, incredible service! Highly this restaurant! Do not be deterred if there is a short line, it moves very quickly. I really wanted to dine in a with log-fire and I was glad that the was opened on the last night before my husband and I leave. This is such a cute cottage restaurant! It was very cosy and the staff were really nice and friendly. I ordered a steak which was really beautifully done. The beef soup was too. Perfect with the log-fire! Portion was huge here so if you order the sac-baked veal, we would to share. It was really delicious. Very tender. But there was no way my husband could finish so we doggy-bagged it and made it for lunch for 2 of us the next day. I am not a dessert person but the apple strudel was really nice. Light and fluffy. Again, we would to share between 2 people. Wine was gorgeous as well. This dinner experience was such a beautiful wrap up to my Kranjska Gora holiday. It's in a beautiful setting with a relaxed atmosphere, friendly service, good beer, and the food was (large portions too). Importantly for us, there were lots of lovely outdoor seating areas where our dog could join us :) Life altering restaurant. Truly the best meat platters my family and I have ever tasted and still talk about it daily. The atmosphere is beautiful, plenty of seating options with incredible views, exceptional service, lots of menu options. The grilled meats are perfectly cooked and seasoned and so incredibly juicy; lots of variety. The bread is so smoky and divine and the whipped butter is exceptional. Fries are always golden crispy. Desserts are also delicious. 1000/10 would fly back from Canada just to eat here again. Absolutely loved this place- so much that we went back 2 nights in a row. The staff are LOVELY, and make you feel so welcome (even when you’re Australians who can’t say more than hello and thank you in Slovenian). The food- delicious. I had the beef cheeks both nights as I loved it so much. But across the 2 nights, our table tried the cheese platter, the salami, the grilled cheese and vegetables, the lamb shank, the cheeseburger, the chicken schnitzel, the chicken and pistachio, the strudel and mango cheesecake. All were amazing. The drinks we also delicious- we friend the house wine, draft beer, the cider, the Hugo but the real winner is as the Negroni. Can not this place enough, the whole experience was fantastic- I just know we will be talking about this place as a family for years to come.
