A great experience! The right at the beginning is very cool for kids, the following ride is also pretty cool. For adults it's very interesting to hear and see how they actually mined lead from the mountain in variously times back in the days. It's quite cold down there - 8C° - so get a jacket and vest. We all enjoyed the and wouöd definitely recommend. It was funny. We got a coat and trouser to safeguard our clothes. We also got a helmet. Than we had to (!) down 60 meters to the mine. We got to know how the miners worked. At the end we went back to the elevator with an underground train. First things first; if you don't speak German, do not visit the place. Everything is in German, the movies, everything. You don't even recieve a safety instructions in English. The place starts with a cool slide, but the railings are old, and you can easily hurt yourself. Then the rest is just going through the mine, sometimes stopping for a boring German only video. Just a waste of time the whole thing, and it costs almost 20 EUR. Avoid it if you can. The museum is interesting place to visit, good option for kids. guide speaks only Austrian, so for forain children it is hard to follow the explanation of the mine. Very Bad! They Show at least 5 random videos, that make no sens and are sooo boring. The videos are made in the 80s with very bad sound and where never updated. The in the beginning is fun and the is fun. But definitely not worth your time or money. First of all, it's very cold inside the mine, I recommend coats and warm clothing for the children, at most they will be lowered. The children had a lot of fun, there is a at the beginning, they screamed and the adults also enjoyed it. If you don't want to slide, you can go down the stairs. The guide is knowledgeable and nice, however, he has a little difficulty dealing with a group in English, I recommend asking him in advance to wait between the explanations so that there is an opportunity to translate for those who did not understand him, so that everyone will be satisfied. There is a screening section of plays and operas that were performed there, it is possible and desirable to give up in advance. For English we had to schedule in advance- call them and schedule. Simply one of the best museums I have ever visited. Fascinating, engaging and fun for technically inclined kids. Miners is incredible, miners is fun, the guide was great. Also... the ticket lady really helped us, as we were running late and almost missed the 😁 Overall: Interesting and educational experience. Worth to visit at least one mining cave in a lifetime. A cold, super humid cave so be prepared with warm clothes and shoes. Interesting to see how people worked before and works now. Well prepared in German language. We visited Terra Mystica on rainy day and it was quite crowded (but its written on website that you can expect that). We recommend to book english in advance. We were really surprised how nice the was. Funny start with the (we didnt expect that and it was great), treasure hunt for kids, underground train. Overall it was great. We took the English and it was a bit disappointing, most of the is watching videos which are in German so you could just take the German and still understand just about as much. The last video was not useful at all, it was about a couple of plays and songs in the mines and at that point I just wanted to get on the and go back to the surface, I'd say it's only worth it with the kärtner card. The was only in German so we did not understand a word. the mine was full of boring movies and weird puppets. The and the was fun but besides it was not a good experience. It is very important to reserve an English tour.
