Beautiful and arts centre in Frodsham. It's got a cafe, toilets, gardens, tennis courts, 5 a side pitch, bowling green, areas, historic buildings and carparking. Called in frodsham food and drink festival great loverly gardens great as well I love coming here everytime I come to Frodsham and here, it’s just a nice and a nice place to and this is a safe place to aswell and you don’t get bother round here really and I will be coming back here Great for to play. Little shop to buy food ice cream. Very well kept park. Clean and tidy. Well worth a if your in Frodsham. Great little for the kids, loads of wildlife about. Was clean and tidy, car could do with a bit of a tidy, a bit off putting seeing weed baggies and big skin packets on the floor but I understand. Popped in on Sunday pm after the lights switch on, car was quiet but there quite a few people out and about enjoying the park. Parking is limited, there is 3 disabled spaces but depending on the whether the car can be filled quickly. The walk from the car to the does have a drop kerb by the car entrance onto the main path way. No dogs allowed in here the area. Once you get too the it's path does go though and around the equipment, but it is around each piece of equipment. Unfortunately the isn't especially easy to maneuver a wheelchair or pram on to get close to said piece of equipment. There are toddler swings, basic swings, slide, climbing frame, ground level pit area, UFO swing and a ground level roundabout. Unfortunately the UFO swing arent inclusive to all children due to issues like transfering chair to swing and also the persons ability to self support themselves on them. Also wheelchair access for transferring is an issue due to the around it. The ground level roundabout are classed as inclusive but as thus one doesn't have any support bumps or straps hold a chair into place as soon as the roundabouts is put in motion the chair moves becoming unsafe. Cafe on site that sells drinks and snacks. There are public toilets include a disabled toilet (forgot to check if radar key needed) for a walk on your own, with pets or children/babies. The playing is great. It also has the Art Center where you can art exhibitions and go for a drink and nibble. Free parking. This is such a place to visit. We drove from Sale to Frodsham just to get out for a couple of hours. The itself is really pretty, and the volunteers keep the garden areas looking beautiful. Roses are spectacular and well cared for so they bloom prolifically. The plants and borders around the and the centre are tended to well also. There is a walk through the rose garden, onto the grass and through the woods which are all enjoyable. The history of Castle is located on big plaques inside the old conservatory, a beautiful structure but not accessible - easy to read through the windows. The bowling green was not being used when we visited but it is also cared for well and it is next to the children's and the little cafe. The playground is great, lots for the young ones to do. A massive with buckets and spades is provided inside which I think is a touch. I would say the is aimed at smaller children, my 11-year-old didn't have much he could use but wasn't overly bothered by the time he had an ice in his hand. There are benches around the so you can sit easily whilst still able to view the kids, and some picnic tables too. The is a little treasure, all the staff are really and happy to help. We went on one of the warmest days yet, really muggy sticky weather and not once did the ladies complain or pull a face because they had had enough. They were just wonderful, smiley and kind. I think prices are pretty average for independent cafes. I bought a dog ice pot, cappuccino, milkshake and child's ice bear and it came to £12 (give or take a few pence) which I thought wasn't bad. The ice was delicious, and high quality and my dog loved hers. Hubby said the cappuccino was beautifully made which is high praise from him. The milkshake was I'm told, thick, creamy and wonderful tastes from the different flavours. There is another in the arts centre inside and with outside seating. We didn't the art centre on this occasion but on previous visits its definitely worth a look. Excellent, clean, small forest walk, brilliant facilities, multi use outdoor games/sport facilities. Beautiful park, Children love the facilities. Great for a small jog/exercise Small car so parking may be difficult at busy periods. Small near the main playground which sold different flavours of ice cream, this was a bonus for the children. park, lots of interesting trees. Nice and for children. Bowling green .
