They also had an exposition about the Sorcerers of old times. If you're visiting the town, pay it a visit I enjoyed going to this though the ticket prices seem a little bit high to me when taking into account that the is quite small. If you buy tickets online in advance you can save a bit of money though. Most of the information at the exhibitions is given through a qr code based audio guide. So remember to bring a smart phone and some headphones. Without the audio guide I would not think it would be worth a visit. The temporary exhibition at the moment about 'vølver' presents some interesting interpretations of the symbols and mythologies of the viking age. Super friendly and helpful staff who offered guidance and support in English ans helped us with accessing the mobile information etc. other exhibits were brilliant and the building and layout itself was great. The shop is fantastic. The was decent, and I learned quite an amount about the town of Koge through the audio guide provided. However, even for a small museum, the entry fee, I felt, was overpriced. Paying 95 DKK (student rate) for just one small hall and the temporary exhibitions is a bit pricey. I recommend that the either add more artifacts and information to justify the price or lower the admission fee to match the current artifacts. They offer a personal audio guide. The objects in the exposition lacking a numbers, that is a bit confusing. But located in the city center, in a very historical building and has a nice gift store. Quite interesting displays, but we were finished within an hour and wondering what we got for our 250 kroner. Fortunately, we’re provided a gizmo which enables us (I hope) to listen and read about all of the displays at our future leisure. The highlight for me was the trove a silver coins discovered recently during renovations. Great artifacts and the English audios were great. Sincerely not worth the visit. Pretty small. There are a few historical outfits on display but I overall I would not recommend. If anything, one thing that pissed me off particularly was the display of satanic items in a room (which they also sell in the gadget store btw). I understand (more like I try) but I think it would be respectful to visitors to at least tell them. Not everyone likes to see these things and it is part of respect to understand people’s values and warn them. ALSO if you plan to visit with kids you should know that currently there is a huge picture at the top floor of a graphic sex image. I didn’t travel with kids but I hope they warn parents.
