Hugo's Kælder is a wonderful place to enjoy high quality Danish draft beers and then some. Full of history and a cozy old-fashioned tavern atmosphere. Lots of outdoor seating, free parking, live music on a summer day, and a brick staircase that takes you down to a charming medieval cellar when you want to be indoors. The evening we attended, you had to order at the cellar bar and bring your drinks to your table yourself. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the Køge area on Sjælland. A fantastic find in the middle of Køge. Fantastic selection of international beers served by knowledgable staff in a cellar full of atmosphere. Also, some of the best Czech Pilsner I’ve had outside of Prague! We were actually across from Hugo's at this hygge old pub, sitting outside enjoying the Køge festival. But it was all great! McDonald's is McDonald's. Not my favorite but people love it. It was clean and fast service. Nice place for beers or cocktails, Fridays and Saturdays age range 30-50. Live music on Thursdays, older crowd. Nothing to eat but popcorn. Fantastic medieval tavern! Only excellent craft beers and very kind staff! Excellent bar, excellent choice of tap beer. Servers are very nice and go the extra mile for you. You can sample and they are knowledgeable about their products. Atmosphere is relaxed, the terrasse is in a little courtyard. Spaces to park your bike.
