My husband and I visited this cafe/pub while on a cycle trip across Europe. It was very popular. Perfect place to unwind halfway through our journey. It had great atmosphere Nice lace to stop on the way along the Danube . We just had some coffee ,it was nice . Tasty local food and drinks, great quiet place. But cash only! The only one good cafe/bar after a long distance when riding the Donauradweg. Had the goulash at Bärndorferhütte – honestly one of the best in the entire Tullnerfeld region. My girlfriend went for the salad with grilled chicken. The service was friendly and quick, and the setting is really special: right by the Danube and the never-activated Zwentendorf nuclear power plant. The restaurant itself is a rustic wooden farmhouse originally from Carinthia – very charming and full of character. I absolutely don t recommand for tourists. Communication in english was difficult. They gave us a table already booked for 11.30. At 11.15, a waiter sent 2 customers who infiltrated in our table without any respect. Technically we were rejected. For bike riders you can find better places just after. Worst restaurant experience ever! The owner started yelling (and his drool flew right into my face) because I asked if it is possible to pay with a card. AVOID THIS PLACE for saving your dignity! Great place! Perfect stop when cycling the Danube.
