I went to the Navan Racecourse to attend the Navan Racing Festival 2023 and they were such good staffs. It was an office party with a gathering of about 28 people and we had 3 tables booked at their hospitality lounge. We were served lunch (Madras chicken curry with rice and Traditional beef stew with baby potatoes). The beef 🍲 stew was my favorite. Perfect flavour and taste! Madras curry was quite sweet to taste. We had to book tickets prior to the racing festival for about €40 per person. There is an open area to enjoy the races under the sun but during winters better to be at the Arkle bar or hospitality section. Best Track in Ireland as a test for a Horse. Note, Many Cheltenham Victor's have Won here. Plenty of space and great views. Never to crowded. Great track plenty of comfy seating well positioned parade ring nice bars and good viewing though the standard have no rails so a bit dangerous for the unsteady or drunk amongst us Great first day of the festival, definitely go again I have been to many racecourses throughout the country in Ireland and there is no doubt in my mind that Navan is one of the finest that we have in the country. It's definitely an asset to the town and in a beautiful setting especially on sunny days. Bar and restaurant facilities are very good and staff are a credit to their trade. The tote and concourse bookies in abundance. It's an afternoon well spent , even if I come home with more money than I went out with.! Good old school race course A great day out, Only 2 hours away.5 euro entry for pensioners. A nice track, great viewing all around the course. Only downside, if you are lucky to be an owner.. the owners enclosure section is poor. Small, dingey and only 30 mins for food is a joke.
