We the dish of the day: veg soup, beef roast (main course), spice tankard bag (main course), chicken mushroom dish starter) and apple pie dessert. Service and the customer 5/5. Had dinner there yesterday with my son and Daughter in law the food was excellent the was excellent the waiter was extremely pleasant and would go back there again it was just a pity there were not more people in the restaurant But then again it was a Monday evening A bit cold and dated inside but food was good ad was prompt One of my favourite places in Navan. The food is amazing and served with love and kindness. Portions are rather large so I wasn't able to finish my main course. I highly recommend it. Until today... 2 young girls serving, 5 tables including ours. So not what you want you'd call busy. Can't complain about the the, up to it's normal high standards. The on the other had, they should be disgusted with themselves. Took our order, when the food came out we noticed they got the child's order wrong. We said nothing as it wasn't a big problem. We mentioned that we were still waiting for our drinks. 5 minutes later and still the that were with the food never appeared. I go to the bar and ask again and I'm told they are coming with them. The turn up and they have gotten the wrong. We had a Heineken 0 and jug of water. My wife asks again for and I told there's just two of us and it's busy, only 5 tables total occupied. My wife again asks for the we nearly 40 minutes ago and is told "you're being rude, stop demanding the water". Only for we had our young child with us and it would have been too much of a disruption for her, I would have taken my wife and walked out. To compound the utterly dreadful service, at no point are we checked on. This just demonstrates that the girl serving is not suited for the industry. I've been managing in retail for over 15 years and if one of my staff treated a customer like this, there would be serious consequences. Food was good as always. was slow drinks, food arrived, no asked for them still no sign. Asked half way through meal and Kayla arrives wit a jug of orange we did not order and I asked please can I have a pint of thank you. She replies hold on only two of us on and we are flat out in the bar don't demand water. I did not demand I asked politely. So when the other young girl arrived with the drink that was I asked her for my which had being when the food was ordered. Disappointing attitude and from Kayla. Outstanding place the food was gorgeous I don't understand why this place is not packed out, all the time Highly recommend Staff and food lovely 👌🌟 Walked in here with my friend famished & the waiter we got couldn’t have been more kinder we felt right at home & our orders were exactly as described & the food was great.
