Don't miss out on this little treat. The staff and food are fabulous. We really enjoyed our time here. We arrived at the Harbour after a beautiful walk from a near by village. There are 2 areas: bar & lounge. We went into the lounge as we wanted food. The longue has 2 sub-areas, one of which has a nice fireplace (not sure if real but still, nice). We couldn't sit close to that but went instead into the second area. Unfortunately that was in line with the main door and so we could smell the cigarettes of other customers who use the area right outside of the door to smoke. The room was also on the cold side, which was not nice after having spent a winter day outdoor. I loved instead the collections of whiskey decorating the walls. The 2 starters we tried were quite tasty and one of the sauces was delicious. After reading many enthusiastic reviews I ordered & chips for main. While I could see how it was fresh fish, I found it extremely tasteless. Even adding plenty of salt and lemon the tasted of nothing. The tartar sauce was not of my liking. Luckily I have saved a sauce from one of the starters. The chips were also lacking salt. Adding it later just doesn't work. The mushy peas were salt-less. I am told the other main was instead tasty, so probably it was just an unfortunate choice I made. Service was nice but we felt a bit too eager to remove the plates from our table. Went here, with my girlfriend for our first meal in Ireland and was not disappointed! Was reccomended this spot, by a local here in Rush and couldn't of been more satisfied. Seafood chowder has loads of seafood in it, fried brie cheese was absolutely perfect, even all the way up to the desserts! Great portions, fresh foods and friendly service. Everything tasted amazing! Would like to return again, before we leave the area. Highly reccomended! Lovely place, right across the beach and opposite to the park. We ended up there after our stroll at the beach. They some amazing list of cocktails and food options. We are vegetarians so had veg curry with coconut rice and it’s a must recommend. The curry was delicious ! One small feedback is that they could have a few more veg food options - would have loved a veg burger, falafels, sandwiches etc. We also had Warm Apple Tart which was very delicious and it’s a must try for anyone visiting there :) The staff is very cordial and friendly and the service is very quick ! We loved the place, definitely recommend it and will surely visit again :) Wonderful place to get some amazing food.. The chowder was amazing.. The and chips were great, the portion was a bit on the small size for the price, however the quality, service, presentation and beer made up for it.. Amazing find on a rather cold and wet day for lunch Pub food. Staff friendly food fine large portions Went with a couple of friends last weekend so we ordered a lot of different foods to try. Not sure if they just had a bad batch for us (judging from other reviews) but food was mostly disappointing. Pasta with prawns was cooked very sour, (vinegary not lemony) same for the wings, chowder was super salty, the steak meat was tough, the chicken strips and mushrooms were the only foods. Also I get people come here for alcohol but it's strange they can't come up with a single mocktail, not even on request? Idk. A bit disorganised. We came with a reservation and they had to ask 4 different people before they figured anything out. It was also very hard to get the servers' attention when we were trying to get the bill (and we weren't the only ones with this issue) and even when we finally managed to, the server didn't even react to let us know he'll be over in a second he just kept going on his way. Surely the common sense is to give a smile or nod or anything really... Anyways the atmosphere was but just because the locals were lively and the interior looks design looks neat. That's about it. Went there for a bite to eat after a lovely walk on the beach on a Saturday afternoon! It was a bit busy but not crazy so service was ok-ish, with a few glitches: I ordered a pot of tea and received someone's empty pot(few drops on the bottom)🤷♀️...how can you not tell the difference between an empty pot and a full one?! We had to ask for water twice, and nobody checked on us at all during our meal! On the other side, food was lovely, and portions quite big with prices! For the kitchen.... 4 of us had Sunday dinner today which we try to partake of as often as possible because we enjoy the surroundings, the staff and the food. All normally 5 star rating☀️. Chicken strips X 2, Turkey + ham X 1 top marks👌. And proper chips, yummy. The staff as always super👏. Roast beef X 1.👎. My bad for not complaining there and then, definitely need to get over the shyness, but 2 wafer thin excuses for Roast Beef that looked like they were from a packet of processed meat. That's your bad. It has been awhile since I was last here over 10yrs. Dropped in for a bite to eat. Staff are very friendly and helpful. I had the ribeye and it was a lovely cut of meat a so tender. The meal in all was delicious. Great atmosphere and surprisingly busy for a Tuesday evening with a few families in. Easily the nicest pub in Rush, front bar is gorgeous and cosy, love the decoration in the back lounge & Staff are excellent. It’s just such a shame they don’t have a decent vegetarian/vegan option or we would be in there even more often! We visited Rush to celebrate a birthday and came across the Harbor Bar! We could not have found a better place for a group of five to enjoy dinner, drinks, and conversation. The staff were attentive and poured the perfect Guinness! I love the fireplaces and layout. The food was delicious including the best and chips I could find in Ireland. And the sticky toffee pudding was sooooo good! Excellent and tasty Sunday dinner, food was cooked perfectly. Staff very friendly and attentive. We were served by a lovely gentleman name Luka. Customer service is out of this world, very attentive, which is not common in bars. As well as a lovely atmosphere and lighting, he made our night. Definitely recommend !! We had the pleasure of stumbling upon The Harbour Bar during our stay in Rush. The food was a 10 out of 10! It is the Cheers of Rush…where everybody knows your name. But the real gem is the pub owner Alan. What a ray of sunshine. I highly recommend the snakebite or the speciality whisky sour. We cant wait to get back to you again!!!!!
