Butterfly house was great and the fairy trail was fun for the kids. Note to all! wear insect repellent. Got bitten by horseflys :( also Avoca was great for food after. Castle and grounds were amazing. Great place for walks, Sunday time spending, kids entertainment. There's a picnic place as well. Ample car parking. Nearby coffee shop and toilets I was lucky enough to see The Cure live at this wonderful venue. If the weather is good, you can't ask for a better scene in Ireland to spend some time outside, listening to a great band, alongside a castle and gardens. A great selection of food trucks and drinks available, and the queues are nothing daunting like at some music concerts. The word messy does not spring to mind about this place. My kind of venue. One of the best around Dublin. It has a castle,Malahide cricket ground, Avoca and a play area for kids. Just a few minutes walk from Malahide train station. Lovely for a long easy walk. Nice shops to visit as well. We didn’t get tickets when we had the chance so we missed the castle visit. Certainly a nice, clean, safe, spacious, historic site to visit. Malahide is a place to relax. The castle tour gives a great sense of history, and the gardens are full of rare plants and colourful displays. There’s also a Butterfly House, playground, and plenty of space for walking or sports. A perfect mix of nature, history, and leisure, ideal for a day out near Dublin. Can't say enough about how much I loved it here. Grounds are immaculate and so well maintained. Pathways lit and even through the wooded areas. You could and should spend all day here watching the wildlife and the surroundings 10/10 Nice place to have a good walk or picnic on a sunny day. There is a coffee shop and souvenir shop inside the park. There is enough car parking area. A and wonderful to go with your family and friends. There’s a lot of activities to do like going to the playground jogging and taking a picnic. Or just going on a date it’s the most perfect atmosphere on a sunny day. Good day out for the family, lovely walk on the grounds good playground, fairy trail, butterfly farm. Avoca cafe, take the train for a trip around Malahide town this is on the grounds, free parking. Lovely big Gardens, there are 4 to 5 different trails for walk. They have a fairy garden, butterfly house.. you need pay for the tickets. But it's worth it. They have avoca cafe inside with seating area by the garden facing window.
