The kiddies love a trip to playbarn, they have lots of bites to eat. Food prices are abit steep however the tickets aren't expensive and once you take into account the out going costs (insurance, staff, bills, food, cleaning) they need to get an income somewhere. The building itself is always clean and tidy, the local often have their parties here with their new party rooms available. Will be back and again. Only negative I have is more to do with a small few customers who ruin it for others, some seem to use it like childcare, not keeping an eye on their children. It can be frustrating when A child blocks the slide so others can't use it or have your own upset because a childs been swearing at them or pushed them. All in all its a great place to go to burn some energy and on the most part enjoy your childrens smiles, hence the 5 stars 🌟 Great service. The girls are so nice in there. So helpful and very easy to talk to . The kids all enjoyed their food and had a great playing . Highly recommended barn new ross Great for toddlers and good tea and coffee service. Reason for low rating is the introduction of digger and horse rides. Totally unsuitable as kids climbing on top of the especially roof of digger causing health and safety risks. Terrified of toddlers falling from horse. They gone would give 5 stars. Been here a few times great for birthday parties or a evening trip to wear them out before bed. I do find it gets it abit cold for the adults sometimes but the run around sweating so can't really increase the heat. We'll worth the trip into town We love visiting the Barn in New ross. The are always welcoming, kind and Attentive. We have a great relationship with them and the place is always so tidy. There is a small area for under 3, including a ball pit and soft as well as a seperate toddler jungle area. It is a great addition for families within the town. Absolutely fantastic soft play. We held my son's 3rd birthday party there - a perfect place to entertain 0-8 year olds, with a fabulous party space for lunch. Great fun for the kids-- coffee not so good. I think a proper little cafe would make a killing in there. Edit: they've since come under new ownership and now serve food! Makes all the difference. lovely there, coffee or tea with entrance fee. Toddler loves it , sleeps very well after a trip there. No limit. Overpriced, they charge for adults as well as (nowhere else does this). They don't do hot food despite having the equipment on display, when I asked I was merely met with "we don't do hot food", no explanations, no apologies. The equipment is *filthy* dirty. The toilets stink of sewage, so much so that I couldn't stick it and had to walk out of the toilets. They have a warden with a whistle to stands watching over the playing like a moody teacher. Never have I seen this in any centre before. This warden forcefully grabbed a packet of sweets out of my daughters hand when she went near a area, marched over to my table and put them down without explanation, just a filthy look. And no, she didn't ask my permission before approaching my child and taking her things. Cue my daughter being upset and not understanding why the bold lady stole her sweets. The furniture they have for parents is horrible wooden benches and seats, nothing comfortable, not even a cushion. No teas, coffees etc. Just (vastly) overpriced sweets and crisps. Overall this was such an unpleasant experience. Absolutely never again. Nice place but my major grip is there is a digger ride and claw games inside that you have to pay for after paying entrance already. I don't know another indoor playground with these. I've paid enough to bring the kids in and then have to for out again for these. Toddlers area is pretty limited also. Won't be back We go to a lot of these activity centres in different parts of the country when we’re travelling and the Barn is the only one we return to and again. Far too often when we visit the different centres have they been covered in filth but that’s something that’s not an issue when we go to Barn. The cleanliness combined with the price combined with the food (I sometimes long for their pizza! 🤤) is the best we have EVER experienced. Then you have the who are only ladies, every one of them. It’s unfair that you can only give 5 stars in these reviews! Living in New Ross playbarn is a treat on rainy days. The are always incredibly helpful and friendly, the food is always good and the center is always clean. But the reason I'm writing this review is because of how accommodating they have always been to my son who is on the ASD spectrum. He has sensory issues and can become overwhelmed by big crowds and loud noises. When I was booking his birthday at playbarn I mentioned that I would be looking for the typically quietest slot to account for this. The member made sure to not book any other parties for the slot and to have the music off during his party. If you are a parent of a child with additional needs you know how tricky planning trips or events can be. All the in playbarn go above and beyond to try to accommodate kids of all needs and it makes it a pleasure going there knowing you will be looked after. They have even hosted morning slots for the local CDNT to allow with additional needs and their parents and opportunity to visit prior to opening to the general public. This will always be appreciated in our community.
