Looked good but only from the outside as although it is advertised as open the place was in fact deserted. We came to meetings over the weekend and after seeing the gardens advertised decided to stay over a few days and decided today as the weather looked better. What a shame as we went without lunch too in order to try the special cafe. Will not be going back and urge others to think twice before going out of your way. What a delight! This glorious house and gardens was our destination for my birthday last week. Mark and Emma pulled out all the stops to make our two night stay so amazing we didn't want to leave. The house is gorgeous, filled with antiques and paintings, and the 7.5 acres of gardens are outstanding. Very highly recommended. I had a lovely stay at this hidden Ireland property. The room in the main house was beautiful overlooking the gardens. The dinner was delicious and the facilities very good, there is a swimming pool, hot tub and tennis court on site. Mark and Emma were lovely hosts and very welcoming. A nice spot for a relaxed weekend with beaches and walks nearby.
