Fabulous along the Copper Coast. Free parking and a short walk along this stretch of clean sand and rocky beach. The sunset here are amazing to just sit and watch or photograph. The sea stacks down on the left side of are also nice to explore. Hands down my favorite along this coast❣️ cove, Everytime we have been here we have practically had it to ourselves. Sandflys are a real irritant but bring a groundsheet and sit on the wet sand and they don't bother you. Next on our Copper Coast tour was Kilfarrasy Beach. Much like Garrarus Strand, the sports views. I noticed much less seaweed and algae at this beach. Bring a foam pad and your sandals for comfort. Parking available. If you’re driving, roads leading to parking are very narrow. We were looking for something to fill in our schedule on our last day in Ireland. We decided to head south towards Waterford and then make our way across the Copper Coast. The views along the Copper Coast are beautiful. Make sure to leave some time to stop at the various beaches and viewpoints along the way. We made 10 stops in total and have a wonderfully relaxing day. The Metal Man Garrurus Strand Kilfarrasy Strand Annestown Beach Benvoy Beach Copper Coast Drive Viewpoint Copper Coast Drive (car park & viewpoint) Tankardstown Copper Mine Stage Cove Trá na nBó What a beach. The landscape is amazing, with very interesting rock formations. I would highly recommend stopping by if you are in the area. It is definitely worth the detour. We went on a rainy day and it was still beautiful. I would love to go back again on a sunny day. Lovely quiet place today, May 2025. Plenty of parking. There was only around 20 people there while I was there. Some families. Some dog walkers. Some explorers and some sporty people in kayaks. Most seemed to be local and the people I spoke to warned me to be careful if I was wandering too far because the tide can come in very fast and catch you off guard. I went walking by the sea stacks on the left and the sand is pretty soft in places. I did tip over when I walked in a very soft area 😂 The cliffs are amazing around the and there is a plaque on the way in explaining the geology of the place. There is a bin at the entrance but I didn't see any toilets on site. It's just a to escape to and I guess tramore isn't very far away if you need toilets. Approx 15 minutes I think. Fantastic place for photography because of the sea stacks and the colours on the cliffs. The only thing I would say is be careful if you're walking barefoot because some of the fallen rocks seem very slaty and are very sharp if you stand on them. I don't know how busy this place gets during high summer but it was an absolute dream today if you like somewhere away from the crowds. Smaller, nice beach. We had a picnic here and enjoyed a peaceful sunset. Lovely peaceful . scenery and lovely to stroll along . Such a with clear water. It's a very peaceful place to chill Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
