And this is a great exhibition on it! Do not this stopping here if you are in the area Didn't know what to expect, but we were pleasantly surprised. Great piece of relevant and the staff were very welcoming. Unexpectedly poignant experience. Small but powerful historical site documenting the affection between John F. Kennedy and Ireland. The staff brought great insight and emotion to the tour. Highly recommend! I really enjoyed our here. I’m not usually one for guided tours but we just arrived as one started. Our guide’s name was Mary and she was incredible. Absolutely brought the whole to life and I actually learned a few new facts. At one point I got literal goosebumps while standing in the courtyard where the picnic was held. Would definitely recommend a visit. There are some really interesting pieces in the also. While browsing through co Wexford we decided to the Kennedy's homestead and the arboretum (10 mins away), but honestly we didn't expect much...and instead we were pleasantly surprised by this place. The is not too big but it is well laid out and organised. It shows the of the Kennedys, from departing Ireland during the famine, to the presidency of JFK. The guide at the place was very helpful and we could sense the surrounding the whole place. We were lucky that the place was not busy at all when we visited, so we go through the at a quite place to absorb all the information. Definitely worth a if you are in the area. I was never a huge Kennedy fily fan, but after visiting here, I have a deeper respect for them. Rags to riches over 2 generations. Much of it through the well known strength of Irish women. Those left behind in Ireland remained humble (and hard working). When JFK went there in '63, his cousin hosted him on her finest furniture... literally the removed back seat of an automobile. And he was very gracious to his cousin, who sat beside him. The best 4 days of his life he would recall Beautiful setting and great lesson of how the Kennedy-Fitzgerald family went from Ireland to America. Our was lead by Patrick - the son of one of JFK’s Ireland cousins - so the felt very up-close and real. Definitely a worthwhile and a beautiful drive through the countryside to get to the museum. As Americans visiting Ireland, we were thrilled and impressed with JFK’s ancestral home tour! We were delighted to have met Patrick, whose grandmother hosted him back in 1963 and Mary, who is an expert storyteller who brought us to tears with her touching stories of the presidential visit. The information of JFKs connection to Ireland and his rise to become president plus information regarding his siblings were displayed in a manner that was easy and enjoyable to read. Our taxi was late arriving so Patrick even volunteered to drive us back to our bus stop, which we thought was incredibly hospitable! Please this attraction when in co, Wexford. Spoke to the kind docent as we walked out and he happened to mention Whitechurch church and cemetery nearby where my family's remains were found Second time coming here, the guide we had was great and I highly recommend coming here while exploring Wexford, there is so much here. Really impressive with multidisciplinary artifacts and information dedicated to JFK his life, family and his visits to Ireland. Well worth a visit. Staff are very welcoming and friendly.
