Brilliant pub restaurant family friendly kids menu food lovely and a great dessert and a pint as well ideal prices very as well didn’t book and still got seats top notch I recently stopped here for some dinner on a Friday evening after work. It was not too busy, a nice crowd inside. The food was so good. I had chicken fillet burger, chips and salad and a can of coke to drink. It was excellent, the burger was so tasty and tender, chips too. Because the meal was so good, I then decided to have a dessert, chocolate orange cheesecake with ice cream (vanilla) and cream with a cup of tea. It certainly didn't disappoint, absolutely delicious and not too heavy either. I would highly recommend this place. Plenty of parking available, spacious inside, staff friendly, prices have increased but everywhere now the same. I will certainly be back! Staff are friendly, pub is clean and spacious. Food is plentiful, hot and delicious. Sadly no room to try the desserts. Will be back though. Two visits here recently proved the food and service to be excellent. Generous food portions. 'Specials' plus menu options offer a range of food. We like the place alot. Was there 2 times in the last month, service for food was cat,but they gave my wife's meal for free 1st time,2nd time waiting 40 mins for food,we where in a rush and offer 🤔 us free dessert 🍨 but we couldn't wait Very Love love love this place. Service is fantastic, large portions of delicious pub grub. Always consistent. O'Donnacha's Bar Kilmeaden O’Donnachas has ample parking around the rear of the premises, and a back door which is easily wheelchair accessible. It was, and still is a Traditional Irish Pub. It has a lovely feel to it, and you can tell long before it became a foodhouse, it was a genuine traditional local pub. Much of the character and decor of the building remains providing a cosy pub grub atmosphere where one could anticipate a hearty meal, and a nice cold pint. Seemed quiet when we were there, but not overally quiet, we were in after the lunchtime rush, and there was a nice few customers enjoying their meals, which gave an overall impression of a place that has a loyal and regular customer base. Despite it being an older style pub, it was spotless inside, and despite some of the tables looking a bit worn with age, and use, (which is perfectly acceptable given the setting) they were spotlessly cleaned and bussed immediately when customers left. Service was prompt and efficient. Upon aerial we were greeted by a nice young male staff member who provided us with menu’s and although he was immediately going to direct us to a seat, as he was about to do so,he left it to us to decide, as the place was not too busy, and there was no need to seat customers in particular spaces. When placing an order, an enquiry was made if a slight change could be made, and to his credit, he immediately said that he did not know, as he had not been working there too long, but would check, which he did promptly and returned confirming there was no problem. Everybody is new to their job at one point and dont always know everything, and I always admire those that openly admit that. They are humans not personal servants. I ordered a chicken Burger, which as you can see from the picture, was perfection on a plate. The chicken was well cooked with a deliciously crunchy coating, when you bit into it half the contents didnt fall out of the far side of the bun, all served with a portion of hand cut chips, and side salad. Zero complaints here about the food Toilets were small but adequate, and although the general feeling of this place is now more foodhouse than pub, the toilets definitely come from the time it was solely a pub. Service was great. Fish was very fresh. Steak ciabatta was nice but too much gravy on it. Would come again 😁 Lunch for three Decent portions of lovely food. Bangers and mash to be recommended (and I'm not usually a mash fan). Will definitely be back Great steak, popped in on way back to tramore, lovely atmosphere, bar man was really helpful and pleasant. Good for kids would recommend if have kids as food is cheap and come with dessert was €7.50 A True Irish Gem We had a fantastic experience!! The food was hearty and delicious, with generous portions of mash and veg. Went for the stake and Guinness pie and it was exceptional. The service was warm and attentive, adding to the overall charm. Best of all, the prices were very reasonable. If you're looking for authentic Irish food and great value, this is a must-visit! Roast beef €18 not worth €5 Kids chicken burger was 3 goujons in a bun and rock hard. The food is Well below any standard. First and last visit. Went for birthday dinner. Birthday girl ordered curry. Menu said it has almonds, coriander, turmeric, cumin etc. We all smelled how basic it was, and all had a taste. Everyone agreed: the curry presented was McDonnell’s powdered curry from a tub. I popped my head into the kitchen to ask the chef how he made the curry. He proceeded to lie to my face… told of all the herbs and spices he uses. The audacity of this place to charge anyone for that..! Always love stopping here for dinner. The food has been and always will be delicious here. Been stopping here the last few years whenever passing by. The service is second to none and the staff are kind and so friendly and helpful..great work guys.. Ordered fish and chips.. half cooked batter and half cooked chips. My partner ordered chicken curry with greasy poppadom on the side and reheated rice. Says fine food on the bar outside.... far from it. Very poor. Great little place, stopped in for a roast dinner Lively atmosphere, lovely staff And great food Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
