Food Very tasty 😋 Price reasonable 👍 Very busy Lovely atmosphere Highly recommend 👌 👍 We had lunch here and it was really good. The food was really tasty 😋. I had Fish and my son had Lamb. Very reasonably priced too. Got dessert ( Apple Pie & Cream) (sticky toffee pudding) Delish 😋. The are really nice and helpful. You definitely won't be disappointed visiting here. Highly recommend 🌺 This pub is popular, so we had to wait in line. After that, everything was great, spacious place for two, fast order fulfillment and smiling, knowledgeable staff. A real pleasure from visiting! Excellent food in an old world Irish pub atmosphere. food very Wonderful food and service, and just such a cozy place! I had the best monkfish in my life here! Highly recommend. I had a blue cheese burger with caramelised onions ,salad and chips. The caramelised onions did not taste like caramelised onions ,the chips were mediocre and not too hot. The miserable bit of salad that accompanied the burger consisted of a watery tomato.and a few leaves.I know it was very on Friday 31st October. I won't be returning in.a hurry for the food.I must say the were wonderful and very helpful. Our first meal on our recent trip to Ireland and it did not disappoint. The lamb burger with goat cheese was amazing as were the fish and chips. Absolutely delicious. Friendly, attentive staff, and a warm atmosphere made for a wonderful visit. The best ,food excellent, so friendly, we were in Ireland for a few days and went three out of the five Stopped for an overnight in our camper. They were warm and welcoming and opened at 9 for a fabulous breakfast Lovely food. Great staff. value for money 💰..worth a visit 👌 Popped in for some food while travelling back from Waterford to Dungarvan. Very when we arrived without reservation but were seated promptly. Waitress was very friendly. Food was standard and we left happy. Even had a lovely pint of Guiness.. Will be back Very nice ro visit. service. Gorgeous food I had the best fish pie ever at The Sweep on the 4th June! I was truly delighted with my choice because it was flavoursome, creamy, full of fish and served in deceivingly large portions covered in fluffy mash - my picture does not do it justice! My partner was equally pleased with his roast beef lunch which was tender, tasty and plentiful - always a winner for him! We were fortunate that it was a beautiful day and could sit outdoors with our dog. The member who served us could not have been more helpful and he was quick to offer a cool bowl of water (with ice 😊) for Teddy. An excellent experience overall and one that I can thoroughly recommend! Went in here on a monday evening @5pm...for a guiness and a fish n chips after walking in the mountains..great prices and food..staff sooo friensly food , Sweep Bar Kilmeaden Located on the N25 in Kilmeaden just outside Waterford City. Plenty of parking is available outside, including designated disabled spaces. , and the entire premises is wheelchair accessible. A Traditional Irish Pub. It retains its traditional feel with thatched roof and traditional decor.inside without feeling like a theme pub. Very comfortably furnished, and although I have only ever really been here for food and not drinks, I would imagine that it is a comfortable bar for a drink after the food has finished. The here is good. The are quick and efficient, in getting you seated, menus handed out, taking orders and bussing tables. The Sweep can get very at peak times, a testament to their food offering. Good quality ingredients and plentiful, representing value for money. There is a selection of menu items for both breakfast and lunch. Breakfast offers the traditional fry, but also, pancakes, scrambled eggs, ommlettes, scones. Something for everyone (except those that like Granola) Their lunch offering is as varied with the traditional fayre of a roast dinner to steak sandwiches , and seafood options, with daily specials. The prices here are average, but you do get a meal for your money, so definitely value here. I regularly work in around the Kilmeaden area, and I am always looking forward to having dinner at the Sweep. I have yet to try a selection on the menu that wasn't delicious, and with such warm and welcoming staff, the Sweep bar/ restaurant is an establishment that has garnered a reputation for a that is second to none. For food with value, a warm atmosphere, and a wonderful dining experience; I couldn't recommend the Sweep bar & restaurant highly enough🙏🏽 5 stars all day long 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 Came across this gem of a bar restaurant when travelling back from cycling the greenway. It was a Wednesday evening and the first thing I noticed was it was full of locals eating which is a sign. Food was delicious and value for money, , were excellent. Background music was perfect , not too high and not too low. … I knew all the songs and felt myself humming along while for my food , a sign I was in a happy place . One of the better places to hit up of a Sunday afternoon, Great food & atmosphere and the are the business. We have had a few meals here and never had a bad one! Food is absolutely top notch, I honestly don't know where else you would get a meal and like it. Food was served hot, generous portions, and delicious! know their jobs well and were super helpful and friendly to us. We will be back very soon! Usually good. But I'm very disappointed on this occasion. There were 6 of us, and all the others were served and eating, and I was still for mine. No explanation. After some time, I asked when mine food would be served. I was then and only then told it had been burned, so a new one was being cooked. " You wouldn't want me to serve you a burnt one, would you?" was what the waitress said... no apology, just that with a laugh. When the food turned up, the chicken was cold, onions uncooked, and tasted awful. The is usually excellent and the food is usually so I really don't know why this happened. I left hungry as I could not eat any part of my dish. Admittedly, their prices are very reasonable. Visited on a Bank Holiday Monday and the food was excellent. Turkey and ham, roast beef and cottage pie all absolutely delicious. Star dropped just because of very long times, first to be seated , then to have the order taken and then for the food to arrive which we really weren't expecting for a carvery lunch. To be honest, it was frustrating but we all agreed that when the food arrived it was well worth for! Appreciate the were all doing their best on a very day but my suggestion would be for them to let people know clearly upon arrival roughly how long they can expect to be waiting. Then customers can either choose to go elsewhere if they are under a bit of time pressure (like we were!) or to relax and enjoy the wait.
