First we were a little afraid about the menu ... burger, fish, pizza and curry sounded a little wired, but what sound we say, it worked out! My fiend choose the curry and I took a burger, both were very delicious. I just have to leave one star out because I ordered the burger with no onions but the Salat next to the burger was full of onions, didn't get that. But anyway. We would come back when we are in the area again. So don't be afraid and try it out, the beer was awesome - specially the IPA from the tab 🍺 Very staff, atmosphere. I got the crab and prawn in garlic butter sauce. The garlic butter wasn't anything special...would have liked to have it thicker and definitely needed more flavor. Also would have been to have a side of foccacia to lap up some of the sauce. Portion was a size and food came out quickly. I'll be back. I’ve been coming to this pub since I moved to the area, and it’s a lovely spot. It has a homely feel, great atmosphere, friendly staff, excellent service, and very food. I’d definitely recommend it. I don't drink Guinness, but I have been assured by people who know that they do a great pint! We had something to eat here on Thursday.I had the special which was Brill(the fish😀) I thought it was though not the days fresh catch. The veg was absolutely delicious and cooked properly( except the samphire which was twiggy). My wife enjoyed her dinner. I had the house chardonnay which was lovely.I also had a pint of Guinness which was top class and served by a girl.I’d give it another go though. I thought that like in all pubs the food would not be good, but the portions and flavor here were :) Called in for some grub on a Friday evening. Friendly staff got all four of our party seated and comfy. Took a little while to take orders but the restaurant was very busy so no issues there. Food arrived quickly and was super tasty. Would recommend a stop here. atmosphere and welcoming spot. Gorgeous pub. Walked in on Sunday afternoon. Really lovely atmosphere. The food was absolutely fantastic. Staff were friendly. We were sorry we had to leave but we had a long drive home. On a family trip and this was the local pub. A real homely spot and a great uncomplicated menu. We ate here a couple of times and on each evening we all really enjoyed it. Staff couldn’t do enough for the kids. Highly recommend. I stayed in Duncannon with friends over the summer and again last weekend. We had dinner in Roches a few times and cannot fault it. The food was delicious and consistent every time. We cannot commend the staff highly enough, especially Nhen who is so efficient and friendly! We look forward to returning again soon! We were seated outside beer garden. I asked our young waitstaff for menu recommendations and they couldn't offer any. Portions were good..chicken wings excellent. Fish was big but disproportionately chunky with a thin but crisp batter. The chips were tasty. The tartare dip was unpleasant. I dont know why coleslaw was served with it. I've had better and worse food and service but decent genuine service helps mediocre food.
