Rushed at the counter. Disappointed that roast beef does not come with roast potatoes. 🤔 All Sunday Roast should have roast potatoes. The supreme was very as were all the trimmings. Pleasant place to eat. We usually go of a Sunday. Sometimes there's huge queues other times there's not. The food is excellent. Ordered a chicken, cheese salad sandwich, no butter but mayo. Twp pieces of dry white bread and arrived, told the barman not what i ordered, repeated the order, it came back chicken, and cheese and a bit of salad on the side of the plate covered in a vile dressing. If the place was busy i could understand, but it was empty. I would just like to say thanks to the and management for all their over the years, well done and all the best in your future endeavours A great place to stop for lunch, great grub, very friendly & loads of parking Stopped off for lunch. Carvey menu, had curry and partner had boiled bacon and cabbage. Portions size, more peppers than in curry and more mash and veg than bacon. Food was not hot! Won't be going back. Sad really, looks like a really place. What a brilliant idea for Sunday roast! I can’t believe I was waiting for so long before coming here. Everything was so efficient! The food was delicious, the are super and friendly. The toilets were clean. Love The Holy Cross! It was our first in Holy Cross today, Travelling back to Tipperary. First impression: A warm, friendly welcome from the staff. They are so nice, friendly and sociable. Special shout out to Tadhg, who looked after us so so well. How blessed are the proprietors to have such great staff. The food: Amazing. Top class. Fantastic chef, for sure. Bar and restaurant: Cosy, spotless, and beautiful decor. All I have to say is wow. People that told me to check this place out where not wrong. the food and are second to none. I truly enjoyed myself from the moment we walked through the door and were greeted with a smile. Five star all the way and won't stop recommending this place to all I talk too. We will definitely be back for many more meals. thank you again for the amazing and food. Food was delicious definitely worth a visit if you're passing. Only bad thing was the waiting we were waiting 30mins for starters. Amazing carvery only 5 minutes drive from The Range or Musgrave or 10 minutes from Hospital. Easy to park and abundant meal very reasonably priced. A place to keep in mind when in Waterford. Lovely place always was. Very unique experience. Stopped in for a quick bite and was greeted by a worker. Offered on the menu was carvings for mother's Day, and pour your own soda with flavoring. Pretty cool experience food was good for price The Holy Cross Bar & Restaurant Waterford Located on the N25 Just outside Waterford City on the Way to Cork. Large ample car park, ald although the car park is loose stone, which may cause a problem for some wheelchairs, or buggies etc, in general, accessibility here is good. The decor here is very traditional. Quite clearly once a thriving pub, the food offering here has taken primary purpose of the building now, but that traditional pub feel is retained with a wood burning stove, high ceilings with open rafters, lots of traditional pub decorations such as a vintage pushbike mounted in the rafters as well as pictures from around the locality, and pub based curios on display. The Holy cross has a great atmosphere whenever you call. At peak times, it can be very busy, but a large spacious inside area ensures plenty of people can get seated, yet it doesn't feel too large or cavernous. There are a few separate areas to sit. Despite its capacity for large crowds, on busy days, queues do form, which in itself is a good sign. My advice if you are thinking of visiting at what you may consider to be a popular time, try to beat the crowd. Get in ahead of 10am for breakfast or before 1 for dinner. Amazing food, but very slow service. We were in at lunch and took forver to get served and had to repeat myself more than once. It's not the first this happened. The guy behind the food was visibly stressed, with no help. Was late for a meeting as my friends salad took forever to come. Fabulous food great and value all the Excellent place to eat .I would like to say a big thank you to all the and chefs and floor for a well managed establishment under pressure to Cather for everyone that come true there door.and the above comes with a highly Recommendation from my self and family on mother's Day.. The café serves typical Irish food. It's that you can choose your own dishes — the selection is pretty good. I wouldn’t say the food is amazing, but it’s definitely decent enough to eat. One of my first choices in Waterford for lunch. I ve never got a bad meal here no matter what I choose. Most options allow a ' half dinner' reduced price choice. Free diluted squashes with your meal. Toilets and clean ( I always think that's a reflection of kitchen standards too). Friendly service. Easy parking straight ourside. Heartily recommend. Rib roast 17:50 per portion. 2 of us ordered this. To say it was inedible is an understatement. Full of fat and tough as a boot The veg was like there was a film of grease on them Left most of it and just left. I heard its changed hands in the past year. It shows !!! Definitely wont be going there again Had the best food ever here. Really fresh food and fast service. Special mention to Greg our waiter he was lovely would definitely come back again Great food, very hot carvey. Lovely and helpful staff.
