One of the Best Places To Visits in Dunmore East Frequently mentioned in reviews: Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. Picturesque walk You have a couple of options available to you; Start at Dunmore East car park and it’s 2km to the first cove (4km return) 5 km to the second cove (10km return) Or 7km to the end. Locals also suggest making a loop out of it and walking back along the road. I’d only do this if you have completed the a few times and wanted a different loop No shelter/shade. No toilets. So plan ahead. This is a must-visit if you enjoy walking. The trail isn’t steep, mostly flat. But runs along the coastal cliffs. You get constant of the sea, fresh breeze, and plenty of sunlight. You can even get down to the rocks and lie down if you want to relax or sunbathe. Me and my wife spent around 1–2 hours here, and it was really peaceful and refreshing. Only downside: the parking lot isn’t easy to spot from the main road. But once you park, it’s a great experience. Lovely Very nice along the cliffs, great and some lovely coves to come across. A few benches along the route so you can sit and admire the view. Can be muddy in parts so maybe wear hiking boots. Just a pity that some people think that their dogs don't need to be on a lead. Nice place to walk, it's flat for the most part, where the coves are it has a good few steps to get to the bottom, plenty of parking, Breathtaking views, but not for the feint hearted . This is a great trail walk, but not for young kids as the trail has some steep drops and the and sea below are dangerous. That said certainly worth a look Lovely walk, mostly flat except when going down to the cove. Saw a beautiful seal laying on the beach sunning himself. Recommended! Very nice between the and the fishing port. You can see Dunmore East from there and most importantly the Hook Lighthouse in County Welford. Beautiful from the walk, even in the rain. Will definitely do that again. Recommend! Absolutely stunning views, easy to Nice Place A fantastic top that is well maintained & easily accessible by most. Unfortunately wheelchair access is not possible due to the steps at the beginning & the somewhat uneven terrain throughout. Amazing of the Waterford coastline & a great way to spend a few hours being active. Stunning walk. Easy to to first beach, good path. Best on a good weather day. We were very blessed, it was dry and sunny but windy. We worth visiting. Easy free parking at harbour. We didn’t get a sunny day but luckily it didn’t rain either. I could imagine how beautiful the sea would look like if being under the sun. Dunmore East was our very first cruise port stop. Originally the idea was to take a bus or taxi to Waterford where the majority of the cruise passengers were heading. My sister and I were quick to decide that Dunmore East was where we wanted to carouse. Right off the dock area was Dunmore East's Coastal Walk. We probably only did about a quarter of the trail and though I wish we had more time to to the end, the amount of the trail we did complete was absolutely breathtaking. I would not have traded the experience we had on this hike. The photos do not do this hike justice. I left part of my heart in the first cove we came across called Portally Cove Beach. We stayed in this cove for quite some time, conversing with some of the locals, looking for sea glass, which we were lucky enough to find and just basking in the pure radiance and beauty of this location. Incredible hike. We’re staying in Dunmore East on holiday and it was recommended to us that we try the hike even though it was a bit wet. Totally worth it. The and scenery were simply amazing. It did get a bit muddy in places so I’d recommend wearing good shoes for hiking and bring a rain jacket or windbreaker because the gusts could get fierce! But it was absolutely lovely and myself and my father enjoyed our very much. Definitely a summer activity! Beautiful but windy!
