Nice place that tell the story for + 100 years ago Charming small with fantastic stories and engaged volunteer staff. Worth a stop for all ages. (Sept 2016) Nice collection of old houses its a very speciel, museum, almost from viking, to present time, very fun for children, nice food, , there is a traktor near by i Glud, near, Horsens, also visit in horsen the old Klosterchurt, fro aroun 1200 A veryinterrsting place, not only are the old buildings well preserved but in most case the contend is also original. Their guides could be a little more trained, not always good to read fromapsper. Well worth theproceofadmission. Would go there again Real local history made available by real friendly people! Idyllic and quirky little established by Søren Knudsen, a local artist and craftsman, at the turn of the twentieth century. He saved historic farm buildings from nearby that would have been demolished - the gives a great sense of what it would have been like to be a peasant in west Jutland in the C18th and 19th. The highlight is Knudsen’s house, which sits adjacent to the and has a really entertaining display of his art and sculptures. The exhibition text is mostly in Danish with some shorter English and German translations - if you don’t speak Danish, you miss out on a fair bit of the rather wild narrative of Knudsen’s life which is a shame (I suppose the Google translate app helps if you don’t have a Dane to bring with you, as I did). Extremely friendly and informative volunteers. Very much worth a visit! We had a great experience visiting this site. The gentleman on duty was knowledgable and enthusiastic in giving us information on this historic site and answering all of our questions. It is a must see if you are traveling to this part of the country.
