We had a fantastic time in Restaurant Karawankenblick. This is a family style restaurant with traditional local dishes. We went there on Friday during lunch time and were able to get a table without reservation. The place might get very busy in the weekends and during holidays. The service was excellent and fast, and we simply loved everything. My salad was seasoned to perfection, and the breaded chicken pieces were crispy and delocious. We also had dessert which were also very tasty. Highly recommended. Authentic Austrian restaurant located on the way to the pyramidenkogel observatory touristc tower at 20minutes from Klagenfurt city. The food was great with a big variety and the plates are big generous, prices are fair. We Tried the mix grill, schnitzel, green salad, soup creamy onion and spaghetti bolognese. Weather in August evening was amazing. nice and safe playground for kids. Nice kid friendly restaurant. Lots of food options. The portions were big enough Quality of food was medium. Price a bit above medium. It gets very crowded because of Piramid kogel. We just stooped by while returning from pyramidkugel. I have to admit it this was good decision. As we were not so hungry we ordered only deserts. Was very good. We will surely return again to have very local nice lunch or dinner. Waiters were so nice. We had already had dinner when we walked past this restaurant and noticed how cozy and inviting it looked. Since they had Kaiserschmarrn on the menu, we decided to give it a try. At first I wanted to order it to go, but since dogs were welcome, we chose to sit down. The dessert was absolutely delicious, the service was great and very friendly. I don’t speak German, but everything worked out perfectly in English. I also read a review saying they are friendlier to German speakers — I can honestly say that was not my experience at all. They even wanted to offer another dish, like I would ever eat anything there again! Only when I said I'm leaving they said they were sorry. I see now that they even have the audacity to complain that I didn't pay!?? They should be happy I didn't make a huge scandal and call the relevant authorities to give them a fine. This is totally unacceptable! Service is awful, nobody even look at you if you arrive without prenotation, but...if you are german speaking the attitude is different. Super slowly staff, menu is quite limited, simple e mediocre. Inside is not possible to seat, lights are so dark that in a few minutes you are blind. Not reccomend at all. There are much nicer places around.
