Beautiful place this offers so much. Beautiful walking path (watch out for land mines, dog owners who don't pick up after there dogs). Train hobbyist with there own track in the are a joy to watch. The offer a place to sit. A river runs through this as well. A beautiful spot for lawn games. Sadly the toilets are locked making it hard for young children. I love strathaven Park, but I was so sad to hear that the council no longer has anything to do with it. There are some gorgeous apple trees up the top, and there were some raised beds that are full of weeds. They've just abandoned them. I will definitely need to go back and do some weeding. Real shame. Brilliant place to visit.Very Organised place with so many fun activities.Kids paradise . Miniature railways is a must try for kids and adults. Activities are so reasonably priced from €1.5 to €5.5 Ample bio toilets were arranged during baloon festival. Lovely place for a day out Really lovely with lots of different play areas for very young children upto teenagers. Has a great little with some ducks. We took our puppy and were pleased to see loads of very friendly dogs on our walk. Nice wee sculptures and areas to explore. It has a cafe but it was closed when we visited. Would definitely go back for another visit. Went there for the annual balloon festival. The itself is very well maintained. On Sundays there is a miniature steam train for rides. There is also a boating and go karts for the younger ones. Food venue at the bowling green. Lovely big lots of different play areas, toilets boats but as Sunday these weren't open. Beautiful spacious suitable for all ages. Plenty of nice seating areas for people with mobility issues to sit and enjoy the surroundings. Will definately be back on warmer day. Very dog friendly Strathaven is a delightful green space for all ages. There are two play parks, one for young children and one for older children. There is a small boating (with ducks) and mini golf. I think the miniature railway runs at the weekend. It's a great for dog walkers too. The Barrie Shelter café has a varied menu at reasonable prices. I can't comment on the food as we only had an ice lolly. There are two car parks at either side of the park. Just like the way it should be. Lots of engaging activities. We travelled during the balloon festival and thus the was jam-packed but well organized. The mini railway stole the show for most of us. There is a snack shop when you enter the park, and there is a small train next to it. The is very large, with many entertainment designs, and there are often activities, such as fireworks night. It is a place worth visiting. Came to this to participate in the Strathaven Balloon Festival. There are many entertainment facilities for children and many beautiful scenery in the park. The Strathaven Balloon Festival is held in August in the Award-winning Strathaven Park, some 25 mi (40 km) southeast of Glasgow. A weekend of free festivities for all the family draws around 30,000 visitors annually. The event is known as the only hot air balloon festival in Scotland. What's more, this celebration is among the UK's top three ballooning events, attracting pilots from all over Europe. Good play area. Small at the bottom of the hill. There is a good boating suitable for all ages. There was bumper cars and bouncy castle. Costs £2 per shot which I think is excessive but kids had fun Fantastic park, but the highlight was the Balloon festival. Awesome Great for the kids plenty to do from boating to miniature railway and beautiful for walking. Staff around the are so nice, men who operate miniature train full of knowledge and the man who was operating paddle boats was great with the kids has great personality ⭐️ Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
