You will certainly not leave hungry. Typical Slovak cuisine is served here and trust me it's done properly! We stopped here for late lunch and hence tried the services and menu of Elephant restaurant. The place is cosy and traditionally furnished. The menu is good and portions are very generous for still reasonable prices. Also the fireplace inside is a very unique element. During our visit the restaurant got full so we needed to wait a bit until the food has arrived. Today we stop by for lunch. We take cabbage soup and day have "food of the day" so we take it (not from normal menu). Bad was just bread KNEDLA which one was strong in some parts(so it was before frozen). I can't post a photo of the garlic soup that I had because I ate it immediately hahaha. That says a lot. It was creamy and perfectly balanced and if you like garlic as much as I do, this is the thing for you. If you don't like garlic, don't order this. You won't change your mind because it is very beautifuly garlicky. Besides the soup I had the most famous Slovakian dish, bryndzové halušky. It was tasty and so full of flavours. I wanted to eat something very traditional while in Slovakia, and I couldn't find anything interesting in Nitra. This place was literally something that I discovered after a lot of googling, and it's definitey not fair. Slovakian food is amazing, especially when prepared correctly. This restaurant is a place I will remember for a very long time. Decent traditional slovak food with reasonable prices. We have stopped by twice so far while on cycling trip. There was about 10 of us targeting on getting soup and some drink. The staff is not kind at all and seemed very enoyed by serving us.
