They have permanent exhibits showing how houses looked in the last centuries and another that highlights wartime periods. They also have changing exhibits and the current 2 we saw were about the cotton industry that Alytus had and right now they have some excellent paintings by a variety of artists of bridges from the region. That was my favorite part today. Not much was in English but you can still imagine what is going on with the interactive exhibits. They had a couple VR headsets and some audio and video portions of the permanent exhibits. I think this museum works for kids and adults. Free entrance and only 1€for an English audio guide which walks you throughout the exhibitions and the history of Alytus. Super friendly staff. We personally loved Mrs Ausra, the museum's director, who is so passionate about her work! Extra points for the lovely games the kids can play: quality wooden toys, jig saw puzzles, vr glasses (the adults will love them too!). Goodbuy Alytus! Hope we see u again!! We went to a DIY kite workshop. 4 year old daughter liked assembling puzzles and watching VR glasses Very nice museum, entry fee 1 euro, unfortunately all the exhibitions are described in Lithuanian without English translations. The museum is gorgeous inside, filled with lots of history from alytus with interactive displays. The staff was also very nice and kind. I was surprise that the entrance is completly free :) Sadly, everything is in lithuanian so I recomend go in company with a lithuanian speaker to enjoy the museum at its fullest. Definitely worth the visit, you can find some brief history of the city, interactive areas for education, and some temporary exhibition. Helpful and friendly staff, super cheap. Labai patiko. Aš sužavėa darbuotojų kūrybingumu ir darbštumu. Linkiu sėkmės ir neišsenkančios energijos tolimesniame darbe. Puikus muziejus. Galvojau užtruksim ~45 min. ir tęsim kelionę. Nepajutom kaip prabėgo beveik 2 val.Labai daug įdomios informacijos. Įdomu tiek suaugusiems, tiek vaikams. Yra ekspozicijų su interaktyviais akiniais. Rekomenduoju!!!
