Super cool place, very nice ruins that's great for walking around and taking some photos. Spectacular position above a beautiful lake and forests, but there's not a lot here apart from some ruins, which are reasonably atmospheric to be fair. Free entry. Viljandi Castle Ruins is the remains of a 13th century castle in Estonia. Only few walls are left from the original castle. The castle is on a hilltop and offers panoramic view of the surrounding landscape and the famous Viljandi lake. It's very charming and peaceful place. Impressive ruined site on hills over lake Viljandi. The castle has been huge! No entry fee. Nice views and ruins but wouldn’t say it was worth a special trip. Great bridge though! Words are not enough to explain the awesomeness of the place. A must visit place.. There are so many restaurants with amazing food.. Enough parking space and electric charging is available.. Beautiful place to take a walk around on a good day with a bit of the sunny weather and bluer skies. We visited the place around mid-November and in and around there was a bit of snow which added to the beauty. Great views of the lake! Amazing!!! If you take a while to walk around this can take you up to an hour or 1.5 hours. It is close to a lot of restaurants if you work up an appetite. It’s free and there was no wait to get into the ruins.
