The play was good but the acting was not the absolute best (don't get me wrong, it was nevertheless good and enjoyable). The wardrobe is big and there are drinks and cakes available to be purchased (the prices, however, could be a bit lower). Overall, it was a pleasant experience. I would recommend visiting Ugala for everyone interested in theatrics. Viljandi itself is also beautiful, featuring one of my favourite lakes in Estonia. The people in the small town are nice and friendly, I felt very welcomed. Lovely theater. Looks amazing at night and has a lovely rooftop cafe. Great place to watch a play. Comfortable chairs, multiple coffee break places during the intermission and talented actors. If you arrive by car I suggest to be there early as parking spaces near theater are counted. A smooth communication for booking group tickets which were sent on my email. How much easier can it get? The play was funny, the actors did a splendid job and it was all really great. All except the Cafe. It is easy enough to book a table online for a small party but if you have to organize something for 30 people then you have to call them. The girl answering the phone doesn't know anything and shared the managers mobile number. This, however, is constantly busy. She texted me to text her my needs which I did only to never get a reply. How rude is that? In the end we decided that it wasn't worth it. Also if you have 2 plays on at the same time and one lasts a lot longer than the other, perhaps it would be possible to not have the both the intervals at exactly the same time? Everything sorted itself out eventually, though, and we had a great theatre experience despite the Cafe. Small and cozy. Beautiful surrounded by a park. In the heart of the city. It was a little disturbing that the doors on the side of the stage were not the same color as the stage itself. But the overall impression is beautiful. Mega good Great historical place.
