Good vibe on NYE 2024 Enjoyable meal and visit but I would hate to be there when they are seriously busy because wait time for ordering and food is barely acceptable. This is the 3rd time we have eaten and always find them to have delays in service. little boozer. Best pub whilst I have catch up with my friends there has been services. Staff was helpful and friendly and they did best garlic cheesy bread is yummy Finally got round to trying the Sunday lunch and it was beautiful definitely be back soon A little gem of a find! The food was fantastic and home cooked. The staff were friendly and attentive. The place is freshly decorated and nice and clean. Looking forward to going back there. Absolutely wonderful place to go for food, all homecooked and value. and atmosphere are always fantastic! Would highly recommend! Visited whilst holidaying locally. We sat outside on a sunny day with our dogs. The food was reasonably priced and tasty. We popped in here spontaneously. The food and were amazing. Unfortunately we live in Bradford as this could have been our new place to eat. Kids food was perfect and the Sunday dinner was excellent. Macy looked after us and couldn’t have done more for us. Very impressed with the visit Decent boozer Went for a family meal yesterday. It was the worst food I have ever had. The children’s nuggets were anaemic, the children were asking why their nuggets were white. We were given mash which tasted of powder, I don’t think it was made from real potato. Our lamb shanks were dry. Paid a lot of money for a meal none of us ate. I would never come back here again.real shame. 9 of us showed up with no booking and had a afternoon. The food was good, the kids were £1 each as it was a Wednesday. The was fast and upbeat. Thank you for a afternoon! The White Bear is a proper "local", which shines through in a lovely way ☺️ The amosphere is really and music! Carling is a nice pint and they have a nice selection of wines - albeit a bit over priced. The staff are lovely, friendly and welcoming but a little slow on and keeping an eye on the bar. Food is very overpriced for what it is - Tikka Masala is £13.50. When I ordered, I asked if it was homemade and was told "I believe it is", which is why I ordered it. It isn't. It's a bought in sauce, the chicken was rubbery from re-heating, the microwave rice was clumpy and there was no mango chutney. When we get a rare chance to get out and treat ourselves, we'd like a meal that is better than we can cook at home, which is what we were hoping for. We didn't get that - given the prices, that's a shame. The White Bear is a place for beer, music & socialising but not so good for food. Was and good service! They’re very aware of coeliac and gluten free options Delicious pub grub! Appropriate portion size. I had a proper pie with shortcrust pastry and the hubby had a homemade chilli with half rice half chips. Kids meal, can’t really beat a nugget. Hot and cold drinks. Complimented by a pudding to match any sweet tooth. Restaurant peaceful, bright and welcoming as usual. Food exceptionally high-standard, as have come to expect, went with the cheddar and stilton pie on this occasion, and not disappointed either 👍🙏❤️ Too full for sweet, excellent and unique beer Mat conversation starters also, alongside Marstons own, provoking good and proper conversation, regarding the current state of Cymrus place in the UK at this time 🏴🙏👍x Well done White Bear for keeping stuff real and friendly xxx Food took over an hour to come and was cold. Rude staff. Overall not a nice experience Nice place, pleasant staff but no cask ales, unusual for a Marstons pub. The staff couldn't be more helpful and accommodating. My daughter was made to feel welcome and comfortable which made my experience so much more enjoyable. The food was lovely and the portion sizes where even big enough for my greedy husband. Came in as husband and wife with our children. Asked for a table for food, was told they don’t serve food even though they clearly do- presumably because we are English!
